Hi guys, new places opened today and no info to be found on the web (facebook/website etc). There is a girl outside that is holding a menu trying to get people in. Any ideas on it? Can I just add...... ANOTHER eatery on South William Street!!!!

It's a Tapas place. Run by the guy who originally owned Salamanca on St Andrew Street before selling that a few years ago.

I can't tell if you mean this in a good way or a bad way!

i think it's a good thing. I like how the street is turning into a place of cool bars and restaurants. Better than centras and "Casinos".
    Would be better if pedestrianised

There was talk about 18 months ago about pedestrianising it, but it's gone very quiet since. A crowd called Dublin 2 Walk were pushing for it, but it's not clear who organised or ran that group.

Word on the street is that pretty much every shopkeeper on South William wants it pedestrianised too.

Was in there yesterday, pretty cool, good layout and up market looking but reasonable price. Especially liked the tapas variety and some good vino selection
Agree the street would be better minus gas guzzlers

But then I couldn't do my drive-by-shootings of hipsters outside Grogan's fantasy :(

I was going to go in this afternoon, no menu outside and staff looking out of the windows as to say where are the customers
    Gave it a wide berth.

I work on the street and would petition for it to be pedestrianized! Desperately needed..... Jo Macken from Crackbird was campaigning for it to be pedestrianized a while back

    Ha Ha !
Certainly not an owner or anything to do with the place!
Just a foodie, and like the street and variety of eateries now on it.

Been in. Really good food and wine. Place presented very well. Defo recommend it.
Imagine it will just take few wks to build up custom like all new places. Worth popping into.

I had a look at the menu and it seemed expensive to me, kind of a weird mix of tapas and normal sized dishes.

As is the case in basically every Spanish restaurant in Ireland the dishes aren't actually tapas but rather raciones, which are large servings of the same thing. There's absolutely no way you'd pay €10 for a tapa in Spain. Some places give them to you with a drink for less than €2.

I'm not surprised to hear it's expensive. The refurb of the building can't have been cheap.

Is there a menu up yet?

Which building is it actually in?

I take it one that has been converted to a restaurant?
