Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seems harsh, Young was already off balance.

Agree. Dive from outside the box.

United should get Fellaini on now, would be a nice game to get him settled in. 1-0 up against 10 men and Anderson looks miles off the pace aswell.

Never a penalty & barely a foul. Unless falling into someone is now a foul.

Joe Brolly will be questioning Dikgacois character.

should have been a free kick outside the box. ref gave in the pressure. Keep falling in or around the box and you'll eventually get a pen. Palace should be fuming.

  • Registered Users Posts: 712 ✭✭✭SweepTheLeg

Referee ruined the game. It was outside the box ffs.

WTF at this BT coverage with the lads in a penalty area in the studio

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

This BT stuff is hilarious, James trying to explain why Young didn't dive.

Hes been very good today and his bit of play there has probably won the game for United. Good squad player to have

    BT coverage hahahaha

Anderson. I mean what's the point at this stage? A woeful 45 minutes from him.
Valencia anonymous and Young only slightly better. Michael Carrick must feel pretty lonely in that midfield.

Hopefully Fellaini gets a run in the second half. It's hard to watch Carrick play so well and have a nothing player beside him.

I hate this bt half time set up.

Turn down the audio, blast Daft Punk's "Around The World" and you have the perfect music video!

Outside the box and very debatable how much of a foul it actually is in the first place, has killed the game as a contest and that's a shame.

Though it also has to be said the pass that Palace played that led to the incident was ridiculous.

and as the player that Liverpool wanted to buy but ended up with Downing instead. It turned out to be a great transfer window - for Villa!

Their 'analysis' is worse than Sky's.

Who decides it's a good idea to let Neil Warnock on I'll never know, it's not as if he hasn't done enough for other channels to not know what he spouts.

Well done Ashley. Won your team 3 points hopefully :)

    BT coverage hahahaha

Is it really that bad? I haven't seen it yet, but I actually bought into all the hype. Thought it would be top drawer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,735 ✭✭✭Vincent Vega

    gif of the dive anyone?

also, is the encroachment rule generally disregarded?

Their live coverage is good enough, but their HT stuff is cringeworthy.

It was a foul so therefore a red card tbh

If the defending team are encroaching and it's scored it will be disregarded every time.

Warnock complaining about Young moving his body between dikagcoi and the ball, everybody knows to do that to protect the ball , he's hardly going to make it easy for him to have a clear path to the ball. Also they said they felt sorry for dikagcoi as there was nothing he could do, maybe not go to ground to try win the ball. Their coverage is terrible

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Ask: Would it have been the same at the other end?

Of course not, we own the FA, the Premier League and the Referees Association. they are not allowed give decisions against us.

Yes falling into someone is a foul. Especially if they're running full pelt and it brings them down

Ashley Young is a sorry excuse for a footballer, but gotta admit he knows his limits and diving gives him an edge.

    modern footballers hey.

Didn't Ed Woodward say he was planning to buy Uefa too after last years Nani debacle?

Would be very handy in tough games.

We may as well, would guarantee another few CL titles for the team. Though with the yearly procession and theatre that is the Premier League title "race" that we all know is only ever going to be won by us since we own it, is probably enough and a bit of competition in Europe is nice to have.

Wouldn't worry me though, little pre season and all that. He takes a while to hit top gear

There is no plan to us going forward. Nobody really seems to know where to move or who to look for when we attack.
