Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Smart Tvs, which one to buy?

Been saving for a bit and looking to purchase smart tv

Looking for between 46' to 50inch

In researching this I see a lot of smart Tvs are still uk based in terms of apps and interactive content.

I assume the likes of bbc player, 5 on demand, etc, wont work here.

So looking for smart tv for Irish based market, Rte player, Tv 3player

Most generic apps should work on all, Netflix, you tube,Facebook.

Will more than likely wait till Christmas for a sale to be on, but no point in spending up to a 1,000euros on a tv that most of the content on it won't work.

This article was published last year:

    http://www.rte.ie/blogs/digital/2012/06/07/samsung-partners-with-rte-digital-to-become-the-first-tv-brand-to-launch-rte-player-on-smart-tv/

Which looks great and has all the above features you would want with the smart hub feature.

But most of the smart Tvs I see don't have this smart hub on it.

I know smart Tvs are relatively new but is it a case of buying too early or wait till smart tvs suppliers sort out what content goes on there Tvs.
