Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Painting a top box

I got a top box off my brother, but he used it while couriering and it's a bit rough looking so doesn't really match the bike I'll be sticking it onto.

Looking online there are loads of different plastic paints. I'm not sure whether to go with a single coat plastic paint or primer/topcoat, or would it be possible to vinyl wrap a box?

Does anyone who successfully painted a top box have any recommendations on what to use?

I haven't painted a top box but I have sprayed a lot of plastic stuff with Krylon Fusion , its not cheap but seems to be the best for staying power.
I tried using the primer with the krylon but it didn't work as well as the krylon on its own.
What material is the box made from? Is is Polypropylene?

Not too sure, it's a Givi clone. How would I find out?

Somewhere on the bottom is usually a code with a number on it or a recycling triangle.
Probably Polyprop, maybe ABS anyway it should paint up fine with krylon fusion, they have a lovely gloss white that would look great on that KTM.
I used some 3M red retroreflective stickers on the back of mine for more visibility as well.

Thanks for the help. Not too sure if I want to go white with the box, there's plenty of gloss and matt black on the bike to match to.
