Does anyone know if a dog is "rehomed" from a Pound where they cant give new owner details out (fair enough), is it possible to check whether a licence has been issued for that dog regardless?

Mmmm I don't think it would be possible.

Given that the issuing body is a local authority and we all know how obstructive they can be. Also the fact that apart from the breed and the date there would be no way to tie a licence to a specific dog without giving owner details which they won't!

However - the details of the licence number should be in the book which is available for the general public to view at the pound but that is open to fudging if they so wished.
