Yeah, the sleeping dogs garage system was good. For anyone who doesn't play, there's a few garages dotted around the city. If you buy a car/bike, it's available from any of the garages. Not realistic, but a good system for a game.

My only problem with this game is the music. It's not great at all. Vice City is still king when it comes to radio stations. All cheesy, but it worked.

I actually thought Sleeping Dogs was a much better game. Enjoyed it more than this and GTA 4, even though the heist missions were cool.

I only started sleeping dogs properly about 2 months ago and was getting well into it. Brilliant game, but I thought the car handling let it down a bit. I sympathise with people who don't like gta5 car handling! Having said that, I got use to it and it didn't bother me. Fighting in SD was great, the style of the game was brilliant and the characters were great too. Also, the leveling up was really well done. Brilliant game. But I think GTAV is better!

Just posted some pics of Mike at a Playboy Mansion Party, could spend hours there!

Who do you think GTA will look to for the spin off game? What do you think will be the theme / content. Ballad of Gay Tony was a good spin off for GTA 4

I doubt it'll be like that to be honest. I can see more Heists being added as DLC, and a larger focus on updating the Online section, but I doubt there'll be be any DLC like TLAD or TBOGT. They already have three playable characters, four if you include your online one. I don't think they'll add more. More Heists with big rewards would absolutely be a day one purchase for most people though.

I think the 3 characters should be kept for a good while as in the next few new releases.

They work very well and the story can grow and grow as the game progress's.
Really looking forward to new DLC heists :) get the trio back together

More heists would be great, maybe with a few more options on how to do them, theyre the standout missions

All I can say is wow. I'm not much of a gamer, didn't even play GTA IV, but I am loving this game, played from about 40% to 50% last night and the missions were great, I couldn't stop playing. And I'm only about to do the Paleto Bay heist that I've heard is the best in the game. Only thing that has annoyed me so far is the amount of missions I have done for no money in return, hoping that starts to change soon though. I have also only done 2 of the assassination missions so I know I can make a lot of cash off those when I have more money.

Im only about 15% in.. loving it so far. Don't understand the negativity about the driving. It strikes just the right arcadey balance imo. Also free aim is the way forward dawg.....

Has anyone tried the "slidey cars" cheat yet? :D

It took me a while to get used to the shooting system, but as an avid fan of driving games like Forza and GT, I got to grips with the driving physics pretty much instantly.

I would have liked more heists, but I can't see how they could have weaved them into the plot.

    I await GTAO eagerly.

I miss payphone missions. GTA 3 still my favourite by a long stretch.

I thought I'd give this a week or two before finally commenting. No offence to all those who have posted definitive opinions on the game (single player/story mode at least) before this, but for games like this I never understood how people could be so quick to judge and have such concrete opinions. I

I'll post this as a two parter if no one minds - negatives and positves with rating. Now I realise I'm not the most articulate guy in the world, but bare with me as I try to explain things.

    Negatives:
    • My issue with the map stems from the fact that I feel while it's a magnificently crafted landscape, it's lacking in some ways. Be it from simple interiors I've grown accustomed to such as Cluckin' Bell, Burger Shot, the inside of a nightclub, etc. Everyday environment that just added a little something small but something nonetheless to the gaming experience. Surely in a game about heists and the like , they should be in the game along with the multiple 24/7 shops to add variety to the places you can rob outside of missions  The casino is another thing I have an issue with too in this regards, and yes, I'm fairly confident it'll be DLC but again, not the point as I wanted in from the start.
    • The biggest problem I have with the map is the lack of a very big town/small city, at the very least. Paleto Bay has one of the best missions I've ever played in GTA. All well and good. The thing with San Andreas however is that when you got into a plane you had somewhere to go. Whether it be Las Venturas, San Fierro, Los Santos, the desert or even the small run way on the hill in the countryside. Missions aside, in GTA V however, it just a bit meh flying but for getting to the great heights above the clouds. In short, a smaller San Diego equivalent would have been nice.
    • I also feel the east coast, mainly the south east and north east coast is a waste of space to be quite honest. Mt. Gordo once you see the ghost and do yoga once up there if even that is utterly pointless venturing to again. It's a huge expanse of land just put in for the sake of it. Don't get me wrong by the way, I rather have it there than not, but that's not the point.

I was also somewhat hoping that the east would have been near entirely desert. They could have used the car breaking down trick like they did with planes and choppers to keep people from going out of bounds if need be. Basically, I'd have liked to see a more similar to real life map of LA and surrounding area.
    • The underwater areas. Look, I appreciate what Rockstar attempted with this, but I hope they don't go to so much trouble in future to incorporate such an environment if it means we're missing out on interiors or exteriors that add far more to the game.

The Merryweather heist, waste barrels and submarine pieces aside, the only thing I'll ever be in the water for is reliving Wave Race 64 in GTA Online. Hopefully not in it being chomped on my a shark. Well, I'm sure I'll complete the story again at least once more, but you get the point. The only time I see underwater being of importance is if the game is set in Vice City and perhaps surrounding areas. I'm thinking more of Florida (Everglades with crocs ), Cuba or the Bahamas being included, though I think Assassins Creed IV will have this nailed down perfectly, albeit in a different time period So yeah.
    • Yoga.. GTFO. Darts.. meh. Fabien was funny and it was okay the one time as part of a mission, but why in the name of Epislon would you bother with this more than twice (I went to Mt. Gordo once to do it)?
    • Darts I actually like, but if it's a choice between darts or pool.. it's a no contest. I'm actually quite disappointed they left out pool, angry somewhat dare I say. Having one place to play darts is somewhat annoying too.
    • Where the **** is vigilante side missions!? Fire truck missions? Ambulance missions? I thought the former was superbly done in IV in which you used the police computer system to locate set target individual/gang.
    • Where is the arena mini games like in San Andreas? :( I absolutely adored them in SA, I'd like to think they'll be DLC in future at the very least, but who knows. If I'm honest, I'm more doubtful than hopeful. You give us a mighty big arena with nothing to do in it.
    • The cops are pricks. I forgot to pause the game yesterday as I went to make a cup of coffee yesterday. In my apartment, it's an open space, so I can see the tv from the kitchen. Franklin was standing beside the vehicle impound, pretty much beside a cop. I watched as the cop said something (couldn't make out was it was exactly) before opening fire on me and killing me. Errr... okay.
    • I really had hoped we could buy properties (safehouses) in the single player. I had my eye on a crib in Chumash. Likewise businesses, I just thought there would be more to buy.
    • While I don't mind the driving myself as I'am adaptable to all racing games. I still don't like how Rockstar caved in for all the whiners. I'm seeing people I know IRL who are god awful at driving games, be it Forza, Gran Turismo ( <---- these are driving sim games, not IV -_-) to Need For Speed type games doing very well, at least in regards to the races. Says it all. They're all fans of the driving in V.. funnily enough.

Almost forgot, what happened to the deep and extensive wildlife that Rockstar claimed would be in the game, as well as the pet shops? Wildlife is very underwhelming, given what animals are in games like Assassins Creed III (and soon IV) and Far Cry 3.

The cops are fierce in this one. You so much as think about looking sideways at them, BAM! 2 stars! It can be frustrating when you're just trying to get to a destination and they suddenly get in YOUR way!

I was driving away from flight school [a little &*^%ing irritated perhaps after failing the chopper circuit] and happened to go through an under-pass, where 2 cops were outof their car, looked like they were having a chat and a coffee or whatever the feck - I didn't even hit them, I just went passed them ... fast! 2 stars, they gave chase, called in back up and I wasted myself on a wall trying to flee.

Just on the Sleeping Dogs thing, thought it was a fantastic game, really really enjoyed it, very well made and fun to play. For sheer size and stuff to do though I give the edge slightly to GTA.....

Might play through SD again soon though, got so many things right!

Also, maybe it's just me, but I feel there were a load of areas not used whatsoever that would have played a part more than they did. The wind turbines, quarry (yeah a bail bond was there I know), Vinewood sign the prison itself, the airplane graveyard (Con Air bone yard anyone?!), the dam, the power plant and the vineyard (what happened to the crop duster spot from the trailer  spring to mind immediately.

Like with the casino, I hope there'll be missions available at these places in multiplayer or DLC. Just seems a bit of a waste not doing so.

Okay, done. I'll post positives a little later :p

Yes.... This.... Exactly This.... I'm not trying to be negative intentionall... But it's a let down for me, simple as that... I don't know what I was expecting.... but this was not it

When you spend 5 years and that ammount of money on a game, it should have had a casino from Day 1.... I know the gameplay is better, but San Andreas felt like it had a lot more going on. I'm after coming straight from Far Cry 3 to GTA5 and I expecting GTA5 to kick far crys ass with the extras... it didn't....

Why the hell (and this is directed at all of us, not just you Sahin) are we already talking about what "should" be in the DLC.... this stuff should have been in there day 1...

I visited all 6 Police Stations in Los Santos city and from what I can gather (i might not be 100% correct here, there's ONLY 1 you can walk into, I checked as I was looking to nick a helicopter)

I can't connect my wifi to the playstation, am I missing out stock opportunities because I'm not connected? Every Time Lester gives me an assassination mission he talks about buying shares in this or that company but I can't get into the bawsaq website on the phone it keeps saying its offline....do I need an internet connection to have it in the game?

Yes. You should troubleshoot that PS3 issue and get it connected to your Wifi, probably something simple like the wrong security type

    Aye.

I think the fact there's a garage glitch is most worrying. One of the very basic principals of GTA is broken. Says a lot tbh.

I'm after finishing Saints Row 3 myself before V was released. SR is a game I had no interest in playing whatsoever, but it was free on PS+, so I downloaded it. For what it was, I really enjoyed it. Over the top and very wacky, more so than San Andreas but I surprised myself in how much hours I put into it.

I don't want to say much about V in terms of positive points till I type my thoughts later on (on the phone at the moment). To keep it brief, I was expecting Uncharted 2 to be challenged against as to which was my favourite game on this gen. Uncharted 2 reigns supreme for me. A masterpiece in gaming, incredible single player and criminally underrated multliplayer.

I was half thinking as far back as a year ago Rockstar might be focusing their efforts on multiplayer pretty much, which is a good and bad thing IMO. I'm beginning to feel I had some foundation to those thoughts.

We'll I haven't yet finished the story mode (yes I know) but I'm pushing 40 hours of gameplay so far. That stat alone I think sums up what I think of the game. I love it. The more I play it the more I appreciate the depth of content and the attention to detail in so many areas. I spend so much of my time between missions just messing about. Even side games like playing tennis and golf. They aren't just gimmicks, they are good fun to play. A game within a game. The random events that you stumble upon are great and really give that "expect anything anytime" feeling.

While there is plenty more to experience yet I have a good feeling that this will overtake San Andreas as my personal favourite GTA. I didn't have that feeling around the same point in IV.

So much more I could mention and none of us have even played the online part yet which seems it could add a new dimension to this already vast and wonderful game.

. (what happened to the crop duster spot from the trailer

It's there. I found it on one of my (many) afternoon joyrides. I think a random event ended up there too. Can't remember where it was located though.

WTF Rockstar....If you're going to release the game without online...which is arguably the only reason to play and make your customers wait 2 weeks in anticipation...the last thing you should be worried about is servers.....That Should have been done 6 months ago...When you release a game as popular as GTA V and make people wait the anticipation will naturally be much greater.... you should've planned better for this. Bad day to be a Rockstar Employee.

Yeah RDR also had an amazing wildlife setup. I assumed that this would be incorporated into the game and the hunting experience would be somewhat similar.

The complete and utter lack of shops with interiors annoys me. Theres about 4 you can rob in the entire city.
