Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Manchester United are set to pair Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie in attack. Fitness, doubts over Kagawa and Jones, Wellbeck out, Januzaj is not part of the squad.

Bayer are coming into the game in strong form with four wins out of five Bundesliga matches, including a 3-1 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday. Stefan Kiessling and Sidney Sam have each netted four goals already this term. Bender an injury doubt.

I was a United fan as child and I was always happy when they scored," he said. "Now I’m going to be playing at Old Trafford and that’s a great honour. I’m really looking forward to it.

Januzaj not in the team and Nani suspended. Because of that at least one of those two and maybe even Ryan Giggs could play. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I can see Bayer winning this. Think Moyes will struggle big time in Europe.

Even Kagawa on his death bed would be more effective than old man Giggs

If we didn't have Fellaini then I'd say Giggs would be a certain starter, but even with Fellaini's inexperience in Europe Moyes would be mad not to start him.

Young should be ahead of Giggs on the wing.

That team would be sweet if lined up in the way we/most of us want

Carrick and Fell operating behind a support line of Val, Rooney and Kags, who in turn are operating behind RVP :)

I really hope Kagawa isn't being rushed back, don't want him having a poor performance and people using that as a stick to beat him with.

Valencia? I understand but the options are limited tonight

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,097 ✭✭✭shadowcomplex

Perhaps we are playing a 4-3-1-2 , if that's the case I don't mind Valencia starting as he is good defensively

Very happy. Natnifnolnacs and Rafael and it's perfect

    Good line-up bar Valencia obviously.

Very fluid front 4 apart from Valencia who'll no doubt do his usual of running to the 18 yard line, stop and pass it back or square,I miss the days when he simply ran past full backs.

Lets just see how they actually line up, and more to the point, play tactically.

If he is out left, which you would expect, but coming in and playing as a AML rather then a proper winger you have to be happy with that. Currently it is the best he can hope for

Yeah just wait and see how they're lined up.

I doubt it though because there wouldn't be much balance if Rooney and Kagawa are trying to play through the centre with Valencia out on the wing being his usual self.

We'll find out in a few minutes anyway.

Is this what I think it is..... 4-2-3-1 with full backs being the width?

    :D:D:D

All that's missing is Rafael and Nani.
