Recently went for a drive with the family and found a forest park area just up the road from St columba's college

There was really good views all across the city to the north side and howth

We'd like to go there again but unfortunately none of us can remember the name of the place or how we really got there  as we were just aimlessly driving around when we stumbled upon it

So just wondering if anyone would be able to help ?

What's the name of the forest directly up the road from st columbas college ?

I'd imagine you started heading up towards Mt Ticknock. There are a few places to park your car there. Here would be my best guess: http://goo.gl/maps/X7fPo

If you passed the entrance to St Columba's College, you were going up Kilmashogue Lane to Kilmashogue Mountain.

It is at the southern end of Whitechurch Road.
