Just wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere nice for Sunday lunch around Limerick/Clare/Tipperary. Preferably not in the city centre. Somewhere in the country would be nice.

either Clarkes or the Creamery at Bunratty, great food and location

    There's a restaurant sticky above.

    I wouldn't rate Finnegan's for a "Sunday" lunch.

My first choice would be the Strand hotel, maybe a bit too close to the city centre.

Outside the city, Gallagher's in Bunratty would be my tip.

The Mustard Seed out in Ballingarry.

Edit: Just realised they don't generally open for lunch.

The Pavilion in UL does really nice food and is a good spot to walk it off afterward.

Crokers in Murroe do a lovely Sunday lunch.

Any new recommendations on this, hitting the city tomorrow and looking for somewhere to cater for 5 of us. Surrounding areas also welcome

Zombie Sunday Lunch. A bit of a trek past the city but Nevilles outside Adare is really worth the spin out.

If it's the city... I was pleasantly surprised with the Locke bar on a recent random sunday pit stop. The curragower a worthy shout. Bobby byrnes carvery? assuming it's sunday lunch - rather than a sit down evening meal? Had a lovely meal recently in Azur beside the Locke but prob not open till 5?

Thanks everyone, I'll check them out online, haven't been to any of those except nevilles, that's our go to for birthdays. Highly recommended it but you have to book for weekends & Sunday lunch.

The Ardhu on the Ennis Road is a good spot, the Woodfield next door is also good.
