Hi,

I am relocating to New York in Mid-October. I have yet to get a job so the first few weeks will be spent job hunting and thus I will be dependent on savings to support myself.

Due to this I am looking for any advice on where to get cheap accommodation. When I arrive I was going to stay in a hotel for the first week and then house hunt, but all the hotels seem to be quite expensive also. I have looked outside Manhattan and they still seem quite expensive for someone on a budget. Any idea's.

I will traveling on my own.
