Laptop wont start

Hi guys So basically my laptop wont come on. I did the whole remove battery, hard reset, put back in battery and still nothing. Ive also reset the ram to but no joy. Hi guys

I did notice that when I do a hard reset and put the battery back and press the power button there is a white flash from the power button. I did the same without the battery and just connected to the power supply but there was no flash.

After reading a few forums it seems that one flash means a cpu problem.
Is there any other troubleshooting I could do before saying thats its a cpu problem as I do think its out of warrently?

Any help will be greatly appreciated
