Anyone any recommendations for a place which is pretty cheap but at the same time healthy and filling?

    What's cheap for you? 2 euro a day? 5? 10?

KC Peaches salads are quite nice, 3.60ish for a small box with a society card. You can put in as much pasta or potato salad as you want to bulk in out (as long as you can close the lid).

Tesco 3 euro meal deal is decent if you get in before college starts (most of the good stuff tends to be gone after 10am). Maguires also do a chicken fillet roll, any bar and any can for 4 euro with a student ID. Centra do slightly smaller chicken fillet rolls with a filling for 3 euro.

Also, Tolteca. 6.50 for essentially a dinner with unlimited refills and chips

Budget is around 6.50, been living off burritos for the last week or so, which I doubt are the most healthy, but filling and nice.

Carvery lunch at diceys for about 5.50. Had this the other day, the place may stink of disinfectant from the previous night but you get a ton of food for the price.

What about if you're on a diet? Where can you buy a healthy lunch for cheap?

Blazing Salads, KC Peaches Salad Boxes.

If you want something healthy though you're better off making your own lunch and bringing it in.

Thought I'd give this a bump and see if there's any new good lunch spots/deals around TCD worth giving a go. Getting tired of burritos and the buttery :p

How could anyone get tired of burritos?!😉

I think that Diceys does a carvery dinner for 5€ on a Thursday, it’s supposed to be great!

Asia Market on Drury St. sells large steamed buns with pork or chicken, two for 3.50 if I remember correctly. Quite filling.

Around the corner from Asia Market on Fade St, Duck has two daily specials for 5.50 that are usually quite good.

The Tesco Express on College Green sometimes has decent sized portions of chicken wings (actually drummettes) in its hot food area, for just 2 euro.

Mama's Revenge Chilli con Carne is quite good and filling, for 5.50.
