I agree, TV3 need to concentrate on making more programmes like this, instead of airing rubbish imported tv.

Gwan, tell us what type of cake you were making that day and...............did the heavy duty mixing help or hinder the baking process?

It was just a simple sponge with lots and lots fresh cream and strawberries.

Are these people reading the brief?

6 identical cup cakes, so she puts two in glasses and one fellow only makes one variety.

Liking this so far. A lot of them are annoying me though. They talk too much while the judges are tasting.

Yeah, I was worried the talent wouldn't be as good as the British show, but I'm impressed with them all!

    Damn ads :(

They were both dairy free and gluten free, they're a great for people like me who have allergies to gluten :o

Yes.... Suppose someone had to pay for the programme... Tv3 being so tight!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭dee_mc

Anyone know anything about the lovely Odlums tins that can be seen in the ads directly before and after the ads? Wonder if they'll be available as part of a promotion, or have I missed them?

I have to say I like this a lot. RTE made a complete balls of Masterchef, putting their own spin on it and making it dull in the process. With GIBO, TV3 stuck pretty close to the formula (keeping the format, setting and even the twee (but great) music intact - all of the elements that give the UK and Aussie version their charm).

Well done (for a change). :)

You'd have to battle my 3.5yr old for them . :):)
She has a desperate sweet tooth so I don't bake too often anymore

Maybe it's just me but I couldn't wear rings or have hair hanging over food when I'm baking..........(I use the word bake loosely there!)
