'An homage to the breakfast, so to speak'... I love him!

Did he say Green and Yellow Ketchup? That's new to me. I only know red or brown.

Sophie is very handsie. It's very annoying. All I see is her hand. (I can't hear her because I have muted her!)

Jaypers that anchor and ship pie idea wasn't a good one!

The pirate ship looks awful. Terrible idea to try two shaped pies.

Hmm, using the same pastry for both pies was a bit risky...

Biddy enjoys the disasters a bit too much for my liking :(

I know she made a mess but I'm sorry to see jenny go...I liked her creativity

The right people went home. David didn't seem to be at the same level as some of the rest of them.

The giggle while she is critizing the bakes is a bit strange.

I wish TV3 would stop haranguing me to get that Showpal yoke.

It's difficult enough to watch the Television, post on Boards and have an occasional look at Twitter at the same time, I don't need any more complications.

Enjoyed that. Some of the pies looked delicious.

I'm going to try lemon and lime meringue cones, inspired by tonight! Will post pics if they work out (actually, probably more entertaining if they don't, so will post either way :D )

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has never heard of a Dingle Pie.

It's because there's no such thing! Biddy made it up... it's actually a version of her lamb pot pie from one of her old lady cook books that she tarted up by putting "Dingle" in it and making them hand pies.
    The cones look awesome.

They were ah-mazing!! The elderflower meringue... omnonom!!

The idea was amazing and she did produce the anchor... just not in time. The director gave her the cooking time to finish, post filming and she did present it, just not on air- if you get me. The flavours in the anchor were unbelievable. It's such a pity she didn't get it in on time... but thus is the nature of the game!

I made lemon/lime for my sweet bake.. Paul really liked it. Biddy.. I don't know, agreed? When he cut into the meringue he said "oooohhh did you hear dah Biddeh. That's what I like". I felt awkward then... like I had stepped in on a private moment.

They should have showed that on the telly.

A quick Google search for "dingle pie" suggests otherwise.

Ah I stand corrected! Should always do my own research! Not listen to the kitchen staff!! ;)

    Sad for Jenny :(

It would have been unfair if the judges kept her in but I still wish they had, her bakes are very creative and she is really funny!

Still, fair play to her for being the 11th best baker in Ireland, this year, of those that applied for the GIBO

Just watched it there, the contestants all seem lovely this year. I really like a lot of them. Tala (I think? The Israeli girl?) needs to close her mouth when she's eating though :o

Liking this series a lot more than the last, wish they increased show time to have 3 challenges.
Does anyone know why they wear the same clothes two days in a row ???

They're asked to wear the same clothes in case reshoots are needed on day 2.
I'd love to see 3 challenges too, the show could definitely stand to be longer :)

Thanks a million, couldn't understand why they'd do that but makes sense now that you say it .
Maybe they'll read this thread and take more and increase the show time :)

Ah jaysus, Hazel, you nearly managed to kill the judges. (And then Catherine Ledden [is that her name] would have had to stand in! \o/)
