I think a 17yr old contestant is too young for this show

Way too much airtime on the tasting/judging of those cakes. A bit boring!

    Biddy is no Berry anyway

I think it's hard to judge them on just two challenges.

I don't feel that sorry for the 17 year old. She put herself on the show and she seemed very confident. She messed up and her sponge was ruined before she hurt her hand. I'm sure she's a great baker but she just fecked up.

Yeah I was hoping that the surprise would ve that none was leaving

The star baker seemed to be genuinely upset that Laura was going home.

Not mad on Biddy at all. The show is way too slow. It lacks excitement.

Ah poor Laura, very enjoyable programme though.

Think she did well. She could have stormed off but didn't. Pity she burned herself though. She could have done really well.

I know 'starbaker' came second but really should the winner not be star bzker ?

I wonder are the going to be 3 challenges next week?

I'll be v disappointed if there isnt, total cop out ( I dont want any Kerrygold tips thanks)

    The Breaks/Ads drove me mental

You could make another 30 minutes on that show no bother - there are no ads on the BBC so you are getting more for your show and I think the program needs it..That was a bit hurried imo...More cooking less talking maybe....

It's all a bit "group of pals having a bit of fun" rather than the competition of the british one isn't it?

Cant believe theres no show stopper , they basically just followed two recipes . Judges were way too nice also. One of the sponges was completely solid on the bottom. Disappointing all round and i was really excited about this

There needs to be more life in the show and also in Paul. He seems very nice but he could have been tougher. There needs to be more challenges.

Yeah judges weren't very critical - once the Genoise sponge had the "crunch" they were happy!!

Underwhelming is the word I would choose to describe the show overall after tonight.

The judging of the technical challenge was weird. Why didn't they rank them from 12 to 1 rather than jumping to random numbers? Didn't make sense.

I think with it being the first night the judges were going easy on the contestants, maybe we will be hearing "at this stage of the competition, we would expect ......" like we hear in masterchief.
