Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We need Buttner and Amos on immediately or we'll have to settle for a draw.

    Average is surely an understatement

We've been absolutely terrible in the 3 games against the top teams we've played, we've got 1 point and haven't scored a goal in those games.

Why though? Liverpool and United have not been in competition with each other for years. If anything, United help Liverpool finish slightly above mid table by beating the smaller clubs.

Its simple really. I don't like them.

City foot of the gas. United look better in midfield with 3. Flattering to deceive. ooh,a shot on target. hurrah

United have just as much chance as anyone still this season. If Moyes cops on.

    Moyes can't succeed.

It was always an impossible taking over from The greatest manager ever.

Think Utd were clever in how they went about it. Whoever they got was almost guaranteed to fail so take a punt rather than get someone big in.

It's an impossible transition. Practically the entire squad is so used to Fergie and then one day Moyes walks in. Nothing against Moyes or anything but it was never going to work IMO.

    Fcuk off Welbeck.

Terrible decisions from Moyes with team selection and subs. The players have been horrific also it has to be said.

Utd really have some very average players in their team. Ferguson really was working miracles there.

Cleverly on instead of Kagawa, Nani or Hernandez is depressing.

Great game Navas, excellent signing. No signs of the mentality problems some people expected.

Fellani hasn't looked like a £27m player today. Poor

Exactly. Moyes has made some bizarre team selections so far. I genuinely don't get it.

He's the least of our worries. Still getting used to the team so a bit of leeway needed. The likes of Ferdinand, Valencia, Young, Welbeck and Evra have no excuses over their performance today.

Unlucky not to get a goal Negredo. More to come from him.

    Dzeko on.

City are four up so bring on Dzeko, United are four down and bring on nobody. I don't get it.

It might just focus the mind when it comes to signing players and who needs the exit door.

This United performance is such a huge contrast to the Leverkusen game. It is like City have a spell on them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

James Milner coming on highlights the difference between the team selections today. He's their equivalent of Young and Valencia, functional and reliable but not of the class required to really threaten in the big games.

Pellegrini played Nasri (see Kagawa) and Navas (see Nani) instead of his functional players. More ambition needed from Moyes.

It's a stupid post because there is no way that the top people of the most successful club in England at any point thought they were not going to be able to manage the change effectively so plumped for a patsy, as you suggest.

No, his tactics and team selection today were wrong but not because of the man who preceded him or due to the team being in a state of transition.

I agree that they have better players on the pitch. It's much closer if Moyes actually played our best players.

Love seeing United like this. Love seeing United fans so mad and defensive when this happens to them, which is quite often lately. Will be forgotten about in a few weeks so make the most of it.

    Granted.

Regardless of this though I'm saying he won't succeed long term simply because he has to come in and fill the boots of Fergie.

    Doomed to fail IMO
