    what about the celeration after the goal? you would think we were after winning a cup. It shows that the new lads are settling in and there is a great spirit at the club

    It's great allright to keep clean sheets, although one or two dodgy moments. Glad with the win, thought we would do well to get a draw, glad to be wrong. This team will get better with more games.

    Love the way Lamela stabbed that cross over first time, left footed for Paulinho. Great technique. Lennon or Townsend would have wrapped their right foot around it and maybe taken another touch first.

    Thing is, Cardiff are this years Stoke, impossible to play against at home and very up for letting us try our best against their defense. They took points off City so even a draw there would have been a good result. Others will struggle against them

    Holtby did very well when he came on. He put Lamela through for the goal with a great ball, but an even better pass was when he put Paulinho through just after he came on. Brilliant.

    What was great about Lamela's contribution to that goal was not only did he provide the final pass, he also won a header that ended up at Holtby's feet just prior to that.

    He seems to be growing in confidence and I really hope he turns into a legend!
