WOKAROUND: get GTA V for 20 euro

1:Buy 2 copies of gta4 in xtravision for 5 quid each ( gta 4 is on the trade in list for gamestops tradein deal)

2:Trade them in with 10 quid to gamestop and get gta v for a total of 20 euro

This worked as of today 20-9-2013.

You should be working for one of these companies as essentially, that is what they do all day, buy and sell people's games to profit themselves :-)

I tohught so too i just noticed I had a ps3 version of gta 4 and seen an xbox version in my local xtravision for 5 euro. went on a whim and it worked. the guy in the store was a young lad and looked new.

works for any new title, i check the list of games they accept, find them as cheap as possible buy,trade, profit (in a sence)

But after checking our local xtravision they are all priced at €20.

Asked in our local gamestop and they have no problem accepting two copies of the same game and it can be mixed too... One xbox and one on ps3 etc.

Update it seems xtravision have upped the pre-owned price for gta4. perhaps it is in demand since the release of gta 5

Can you trade in games from a different platform for it? I can't see this specified on Gamestop's website. For example, can I trade 2 Nintendo DS games for it? I have loads of them that I don't need anymore.

Earlier in the year when xtravision were doing 3 for 2 on second hand games I got multiple copies of Arkham city and saints row 3 for a tenner each aswell as some of my own and preordered about 10 games in GameStop. Still have batman origins and lord of shadows to come.

Have bought and sold GTA4 to gamestop at least three times for latest games ... can't believe it's still on their list - long may it continue. Tried to buy it for FIFA 14 deal a few weeks back but it wasn't in any xtravisions. The whole thing kinda blew up on me though as I bought Wii Fit for a tenner as it was on the list but unfortunately I found that you need to trade it with a balance board. Ah well, I had a good run.

But how/where do I get the wok?

I still have a copy of GTA IV which I'm willing to trade in. Just need another one on the list. I'll stop by Xtravision tomorrow and see if there's anything at a decent price

Made some bids on ebay last night before going to bed. Woke up to find I'd won Sleeping Dogs (PS3) for €8.50 including postage. Not bad. Just have to wait for it to arrive and trade it in then (along with the copy of GTA 4 that I already have)

was probably in one of the stores that's closing.their 2nd hand prices were never uniform across all branches.
