The lone striker role is key and I also think it is important to back a player who is at home. If you look at some players they only perform at home and some teams like QPR struggle to score away but have scored at least 2 goals in each of their last 6 home games so Charlie Austin would be a lot better value at home.

Assume that Falcao starts and Utd go with Rooney, RVP and Falcao up front with Di Maria behind them... they will share the goals between them and makes eachothers odds worse value than they already are because they play for a top team.

Personally if you are going to look at the anytime goalscorer market you should look at the lower teams who have an out and out striker and Austin is the pick of that bunch.

I have to resist the temptation to start betting on this market, I'm sure it won't end well:)

Plymouth vs Dag & Red 3pm 20 dec

Plymouth are in play off position at the moment and have only lost once in 9 home games. Dag & Red are lingering around the bottom all year and not very good. Plymouth have been impressive most games this year. I fancy them to win with a bit to spare.

    Plymouth -1 15/8 PP

Ended up 3-0 nice before Christmas

Over 2.5 accum for St Stephens Day (all with Boyles)
Brentford v Ipswich @ 5/6 - Brentford last 5 games have been over and 4/5 last home games have been over, Ipswich only average 2.5 away and are 2/5 over away
Bournemouth v Fulham @ 3/5 - Bournemouth are 5/5 at home, 5/5 in last 5 too and average 3.4 goals per game (total) and Fulham are 4/5 away over, 4/5 last games have been over and average 4 goals per game away
Scunthorpe v Rochdale @ 5/6 - Scunthorpe are last 4/5 overs and Rochdale are 5/5 over and 4/5 last 5 away averaging 3.8 goals in their away games. This may also be a solid BTTS addition @ 4/6 both like to score and concede Scunthope are 5/5 and Rochdale are 4/5 and rochdale have scored in all their away games - Some mey like a flutter on team goals here with Rochdale over 1.5 goals @ 5/4 taking my fancy
I'm confident of the second two but the first one is the early game and i like its chances do if that does not come in i'll try the other two on their own:D

1st big bet of the year on the French Cup this weekend

At this stage of the competition, games between amateur teams are almost always underish, last year only 1 game between amateurs went over 2.5. At stake for these amateur teams is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a professional/Ligue 1 team in the next round.

    Under 3.5 in:
    Andrézieux vs Saint Priest
    St Omer vs Iris Croix
    Pagny sur Moselle vs Yzeure
    @ 2.04

Andrézieux (5th div) vs Saint Priest (4th div): local derby, both teams are among the lowest scorers in their respective leagues, both teams kept a clean sheet in their last 2 Cup games

St Omer (6th div) vs Iris Croix (4th div): local derby as well, last year at this stage of the Cup Iris Croix faced another 6th div team (it was a derby too) and the game went to penalties (1-1 after normal time)

Pagny sur Moselle (6th div) vs Yzeure (4th div): Pagny sur Moselle knocked out the 4th div leaders in the previous round (2-1 after extra time), they're top of their league while Yzeure get a lot of draws in their league

I missed out on the 7/4 last night but took the 6/4 there with bet365
unbeaten now in 12 winning 8
surely that should be odds on or very close

under 3.5 in Bobigny vs Evian
Lusitanos St Maur to score vs Reims
    @ 3.44

Lusitanos are a 6th div team made up of mostly Portguese players, lots of players from the Portuguese 2nd div and French lower leagues, they scored 4 goals against Créteil (2nd div) in the last round, and from what I read they played a very attacking 4-1-2-3 in that game, dunno if they'll play the same way against a Ligue 1 team but they're said to be very strong in attack

Bobigny are another 6th div team, their coach hinted at a pretty defensive approach, it'll be tough for Evian imo. Bobigny won 1-0 after extra time in the last round against a good 5th div team

also done a single on under 3.5 in Bobigny vs Evian @ 1.60

Still confident about the last game, Pagny sur Moselle are top of the table in the 6th division, lost only once this season and beat the 4th div leaders in the last round (2-1 after extra time) while Yzeure have the 2nd worst attack in the 4th division

St Omer had only faced teams from the 6th div or lower in the previous rounds and were not doing well in the league, I thought they'd step up their game but they didn't really think the Pagny game will be different

I think Spurs are a good price at 11/10 away to Burnley in the cup. Spurs have a strong team out, with the exception of Vorm coming in for Lloris. Burnley are missing Shackell and his replacement centre back and despite their good results lately are surely absolutely knackered, considering their three injuries in the first half last week. Don't know how relevant it is but also one of the stands isn't open at Turf Moor because they're expecting such a low attendance. So it's Spurs for me.

too close to call for me, staying away. Burnly have beaten spuds twice last 2 games, and spuds have a poor qualifying record plus they are keeping only 4 players from the Chelsea win

    Burnley v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)
    Posted at 19:01
Tottenham retain only four players from the side that started the 5-3 win over Chelsea in the Premier League on New Year's Day. Defenders Federico Fazio and Jan Vertonghen, and midfielders Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen are that quartet. Among the seven players coming in to the side are Michel Vorm in goal, midfielder Benjamin Stambouli and striker Roberto Soldado. A sign of how far man of the moment Harry Kane has come sees the former 'cup specialist' rested. He is on the bench.
In contrast, there are just two changes for Burnley, with defender Jason Shackell (who went off injured in their previous game at Newcastle) replaced by Daniel Lafferty and Michael Kightly coming in for David Jones in midfield.
Burnley starting XI: Heaton, Trippier, Keane, Mee, Lafferty, Kightly, Marney, Arfield, Boyd, Barnes, Ings.
Tottenham starting XI: Vorm, Chiriches, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies, Dembele, Stambouli, Chadli, Eriksen, Paulinho, Soldado.

    Genoa V Atlanta

Genoa have a decent home record so far this year

Only lost to Roma at Home, but beat Milan/Juve.

    Home Record: W2 D2 L1

Atlanta Away Record: D3 and L2

Atlanta have failed to score in every away game this season!
Genoa have only failed to score once at home which was a lose of 0-1 Roma

    http://int.soccerway.com/matches/2015/01/06/italy/serie-a/genoa-cfc/atalanta-bergamo/1836425/

The H2H makes it seem a lot closer than league standings

Past 5 H2H(When Genoa are at home)

    Genoa W1(2010)
The other 4 have all been Score draws!

Although Atalanta have failed to score away all season, based on the H2H I'd fancy that record to come to an end.

Atalanta Goal before 79:00 5/6 Is my main bet

    Small bet of :

    BTTS Draw

    Scunthorpe V Chesterfield

Both teams seem in great form

    Scunthorpe Last 5 Home Record:

    W2 D2 L1

    Chesterfield Last 5 Away Record:

    W3 D2

Scunthorpe have conceded in Last 5 home games so far
Chesterfield have only failed to score once away in last 5.

    H2H:

Dating back to 99' Chesterfield have NEVER beaten Scunthorpe away

    More recently
    Last 5:

    Scunthorpe W3 D2
    BTTS has landed in 3

    Bets I fancy:

    Scunthorpe DC 3/5
    BTTS 4/6

I fancy those 2 bets as my main 2.

    Smaller bets on:

    Scunthorpe Win BTTS 9/2
    Paddy Madden AT 7/4

Will wait for teams to make sure Paddy starts.

Irish striker Eoin Doyle - the country's top scorer with 21 strikes this season - starts for League One play-off hopefuls Chesterfield.
Scunthorpe United: Slocombe, Davey, Boyce, Llera, Williams, Bishop, McAllister, Adelakun, McSheffrey, Madden, Taylor. Subs: Weaver, Nolan, Canavan, Myrie-Williams, Hawkridge, Wootton, Mosanya.
Chesterfield: Lee, Darikwa, Hird, Morsy, Gnanduillet, Roberts, Clucas, Humphreys, Raglan, Doyle, Boco. Subs: Wright, Jones, Gardner, O'Shea, Banks, Talbot, Ariyibi.

Yeh backed him at 7/4. Eoin Doyle is 20/21 AT odds not high enough for me. Might back him in game depending how it goes.

Realistically I need BTTS/Scunt DC in order to retain profit.

Ideally, Madden scores, Scunthorpe smash them 20-1 so i have nothing to fear :D

    Swansea vs West Ham

West Ham to win the Corner Match Bet @ 13/8 with StanJames.

Absolutely fantastic price for this. West Ham average more corners away from home than any other team in the league and in their last game they managed 15 away to Everton in the cup. Swansea on the other hand get very few. The bet is much shorter elsewhere and is even odds on in places (10/11 PaddyPower, 21/20 Bet365)

Also an arb opportunity for anyone interested by backing this at 13/8 as well as Swansea +1 Corner @ 17/20 with BetVictor.

Really think the main bet is a brilliant price. Large stake on.

5-4 to West Ham in the end. Also threw a cheeky fiver on them at Half Time to win the race to 7 corners at 80/1. On another day it would've sailed in

Surely Chelsea to beat City at home at evens at the end of the month is a great bet. Chelsea have played 10 and won 10 at home, are coming off the back of an emphatic and impressive hammering of Swansea while City have only won one of their last four having lost to Arsenal, are under more pressure to win the game, and also are missing Yaya Toure who is definitely a key player.

Chelsea did suffer a bit of a blip over Christmas but I think they are more confident at the moment than city with home advantage to boot and in the same fixture at Stamford Bridge last season Chelsea won 2-1. (some might say that's not relevant, Chelsea also won the away fixture.)

I realise im very early with this but a good price is a good price, Chelsea are performing with more confidence and with home advantage, I can't see Chelsea not winning with City looking mightily poor versus Arsenal and with pressure on Pellegrini intensifying coupled with the absence of Yaya.

    Chelsea @ evens

I think there are safer evens bets out there for me. City were at there best yesterday but in 2 weeks will have aguero, dzeko and kompany much fitter than they looked yesterday. Also it is Mourinho after all so I would not be a bit surprised to see Chelsea settle for a draw and maintain there advantage. 1-1 score most likely imo.

Agreed, with both teams going out especially not to lose,I think a draw .
Saying that city are used to this pressure both times they won the league they came from behind to win.
Hopefully bet365 do the free 50 bet.
There is better even money shots than this!!

    Premier League: Arsenal- Aston Villa

I expect the Gunners to be very focused in this game, they can move back above North London rivals Tottenham with a win , which is always an incentive and to within a point of Manchester United who are currently in third. They will certainly be looking to lay down a marker and keep up their momentun ahead of a huge trip to White Hart Lane next Saturday lunchtime. There is also the small matter of Villa's 3-1 win on their last visit to the Emirates which still needs to be erased from the memory. Arsenal have won two subsequent meetings scoring five goals in total, but they were at Villa Park, now they need some home "revenge". They scored all five of those goals before the break in those games, but I cannot really see any stepping off the gas from the Gunners this afternoon. The hosts are offensively on fire, with two or more goals in 10 of their last 11 starts, also keeping three consecutive clean sheets against top flight opposition. They have a far more solid look about them defensively right now, as we saw in that 2-0 win at the Etihad, have plenty of offensive options and this is starting to look more like the old Arsenal.

Villa are very short of goals, just one in seven starts and their standard road tactics, sit deep and look to hit teams on the counter, are no longer working so well against the "bigger" clubs and they have conceded three or more to Everton, Chelsea, Tottenham and both Manchester clubs in the last seven months of EPL action. They did put two past Championship side Bournemouth at Villa Park last week, but the Cherries, who are a mini Arsenal in that they play similarly, rested eight players with promotion a priority and still run Villa ragged, for most of the first half. The first goal will be key of course, but once it arrives, a second , third, maybe even a fourth is very likely to follow .

    1.75 units Arsenal -2 goals 2.44 asian line/Sportmarket.

Arsenal have scored an EPL high 12 home goals through the final 30 minutes of games, a period through which the Villans have failed to score an away goal.

    Bundesliga : Eintracht Frankfurt- VfLWolfsburg

The visitors got the attention of the footballing world on Friday night when they put four goals past Bayern Munich , led by an amazing high energy performance from Kevin de Bruyne, who scored twice and also contributed his 11th assist of the season. Bayern had only conceded four goals previously all season through 17 league starts and whilst most teams might have sat back and basked in the glory of that huge win, the Wolves got busy and in a massive statement of intent, completed the signing of André Schürrle from Chelsea for circa 30m €. That has left everyone in no doubt about how VfL see themseleves over the next year or two, a very big player in both domestic and European terms. They also made sure that de Bruyne was also left in doubt about how highly they value him and an already lengthy and lucrative contract is about to be increased and extended until 2020, which I view as a clever move with a new "star" arriving on the scene.

Schürrle is apparently going to take part in a short workout with the rest of the squad this morning, but is not expected to make his debut until Saturday, but his arrival is a really big deal in Germany and after his success in Brazil and West London, he brings with him a winning mentality and will force the other squad members to up their game still further and looks incredibly good business. It is going to be very difficult for them to close that eight point gap on Bayern at the top of the table, but I feel they will want to give it a go and staying within a single digit of the Bavarian giants would be a major achievement and closing it, offer so much for next season. They are currently seven points clear of BMG in third and if they could really push on through the next 3-4 weeks, really cement a Champions League spot early and then look at other targets, which perhaps they are already doing. We have spoken a lot about the Europa League and how the competion, and the last year or two of the UEFA Cup, has been dominated by teams from Eastern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula, but we have no Porto or Benfica this year and the round of 32 and 16 is always testing for the Eastern teams coming off such a long break, Villarreal and Sevilla look decent representatives for Spain, but are both involved in what looks certain to be a season long battle with Valencia for fourth, elsewhere , there are a lot of teams who have been priced up on name alone. If the Wolves can find a way past Sporting this month, I am sure that we will see several of those "names" drop out and Wolfsburg might be in position to let their focus switch to a European title. There is still some 21.0 around for Wolfsburg to win the Europa League, even bigger in a palce or two and if you can find it, or close, I suggest we try 1 unit for now, we can take a closer look at this competition after the round of 32 ties.

Obviously I like the visitors tonight, they have no new injury concerns and although they have been under intense media spotlight since Friday, they will welcome being able to get back onto the pitch so soon and have had almost 24 hours longer to recover than Frankfurt, who lost 4-1 at Freiburg on Saturday. The hosts are without suspended right-back Timothy Chandler, they have conceded seven goals in the last two home games he has missed and both came against bottom half of the Bundesliga teams.and that is going to greatly interest the Wolves and especially whomever plays on the left flank this evening. The away side have a great record in Frankfurt, just two defeats in ten meetings and scoring two or more goals on five of the last six visits.

    1.5 units Wolfsburg -0.75 ball 2.13 asian line/Sportsmarket.

    Eintracht Frankfurt- VfLWolfsburg

Also kevin de bruyne to score anytime would be worth a punt if a decent price

GUANGZHOU EVERGRANDE VS. SHANDONG LUNENG SUPER CUP

Ok I backed the Chinese league a fair bit last year and did ok, as with Japanese.

So having looked up some match stats etc:

Guangzhou Evergrande have lost the last 2 Supercups they've played in( They only played in 2)

In the last 12 H2H Evergrande have Won 4!

The other 8 games have been draws.

Only once has Guang won to Nil. Otherwise they have either been 0-0 or BTTS.

Can't seem to get odds on BTTS or anything on Bet365. But the standout bet for me is :

    SHANDONG LUNENG DC 5/4

I would also be watching in play, and if Guang score 1st, back Shandong to score a goal.

    Hopefully this helps.

It was a great tip. Anyone who read this and still backed Evergrande is a fool. A stupid fool. How do I know.......cos I did :(

Today there is 2 local derbies on the books in Holland

    Cambuur - Heerenveen
    Zwolle - Eagles

Take care with those 2 as these are special matches for the teams involved.

Current Heerenveen manager was at Cambuur last season and was sacked after he announced he had signed for Heerenveen. Wasnt the club that wanted that but the "supporters".
Just an idea about the rivalry between the 2.

There is a reason that Hollands best ref is appointed for this one and a red card in the mact @4.2 is beautifull odds (Unibet)
My unibet account being still knackered i cant get on (insert a number of bad words here)

Heerenveen not missing anyone of importance.
    Cambuur without Ogbeche and Hemmen.
Probably means Barto will start up front, he has a goal in him.

Still... @2.5 for Heerenveen to win is massive but with the rivalry taken in mind i opted for the DNB @1.8

Ok so I think I found a bit of Value in the Belgium league Div 2.

    K.RC. Mechelen V Patro Eisden

    Both teams are terrible.

K.RC have lost there last 5 home games.
Patro have lost 4 of their last 5 away games and drawing 1.

    H2H

K.RC have won the last 2

    In 2013 they won 1-0
    In 2011 they won 5-0

Mechelen DC 4/5 As the Main Bet.
    Mechelen Win 12/5 small bet

    EDIT: Useless.

Gus Poyet to be the next Premier League manager to leave post. 10/1, Ladbrokes. That price won't last for too much longer. He's 5's and 6's elsewhere.

    Granada V Barcelona.

People may think I'm crazy but I'll take the risk :p

Granada unbeaten in last 6 Home games.
Past 3 H2H when Granada at Home:

    1-0
    1-2
    0-1
    So usually close encounters.

Granada have conceded 10 goals in 11 home games, 4 of which came against Madrid when during there 20+ wins in a row.

Many odds to pick and choose from but I'm really liking the price of :

    +1.5 @2.5
    +1.5,+2 @2.3
    +2,+2.5 @1.7
    Under 3.5 4/6

And if you're feeling really lucky: Granada DC at 9/2

Dutch Jupiler league has the final round of the 3rd period today.

    4cb9e822fede9163b3ecbfbc34b3d6b4.png

VVV win will have them win that since NEC already won the 1st period and are miles ahead in the league.

But mathematically, all these team could still win it.

So for most of them it is simple, win and see.
AJax II cant win as they can not get promotion so are period title doesnt give them anything.
But AJax at home only lost once. Playing MVV who lost 11 from 13 away

    Ajax @1.72

Sparta should be winning vs Twente II but odds are horrible and Sparta are without their goalscorer Voskamp. And are known to **** up when it counts.

Reason i post this here is that usually there are goals in the Jupiler league but as tonight a lot of matches do count for something more than just the league position, be careful.

Period title gives the play offs for promotion at the end of the season

    Just for fun:

    7 fold with €7.77 on

    4fff0d7c0c7ec9ff74a9feac097cc3a4.png

    I am not superstitious.

    Edit:

****ing fantastic. Ajax II 3-0 down in 15 mins against a team with 11 defeats away from home.

    I feel bad,but I Lol'd at this.

One of those betting moments when everything says it should be this way, but it goes that way.

On to the next one infor.

P.S Don't ban me for no tip :pac:

    Edit: Don't follow InforFun on a 7 fold :P(Clearly joking :pac: )

    Nah.. i can take it.

Point it ... i should have waited for line ups.
AjaxII played on monday, Ajax U19 played for the CL U19 and Ajax played on thursday in CL.

I could have known Zivkovic for example might not have played last night and he didnt. And that makes a huge difference to this AjaxII.

Bad idea to bet on results in that league anyway.

Sparta did indeed **** up as usual. VVV cant win against amateurs that train 3x a week so in th end it is Oss who wins that period champioship and qualify for the play offs.

Selection based on teams having played on Thursday, conceding today.

Been mentioned a few times here that teams who played on Thursday in the EL, face a bad game on Sunday, especially in the last 30 mins of those Sunday matches.

Only one who also played on Thursday was Ajax but with 3-0 up at HT they clearly took it easy in the 2nd half while PSV had to keep going in order not to get embarrassed at Zenith

Works out @8.6 but you can just pick some combo fillers.

Sunderland at 7/2 are good value to be relegated IMO.

They aren't scoring goals (or more worryingly, aren't creating chances) and Adam Johnson, our most creative player, has been arrested today on suspicion of having sex with an underage schoolgirl.

We play away to Hull tomorrow night, a team who have beaten us 4 times in a row, and Steve Bruce appears to have an Indian sign over his former team. Sunderland are 3/1 to win that, so a defeat or perhaps draw seems likely and I can't see the 7/2 lasting past tomorrow.

think the price here on carpi to win serie b is wrong
I missed out on the 7/4 last night but took the 6/4 there with bet365
unbeaten now in 12 winning 8
surely that should be odds on or very close

    335bmg1.jpg

    http://www.oddschecker.com/football/italy/serie-b/winner

    table now

    2n87ytc.jpg

not gone quite as I hoped and carpi now going for their fifth 0-0 in a row but most of the teams around esp bologna havent been winning a lot either
may hit the cashout button on this one should they fail again tomorrow and have backed the 0-0

vicenza the form team in the division winning last 6
    one point behind bologna

bologna are 3/1 to win serie b
vicenza are 17/1 to win serie b

had to take that price (paddy)
