Problem with that serie b is that teams will let a league title go if they have a "debt" to pay. As long as they win promotion.
Thee is so much "scratch my back, i ll scratch yours" going on there.

I can see the @1.4 for draws in the last few matches already appear.

There was also the uproar a while ago whe nthe lazio president came aout and say that teams like Carpi and Frosinone should not promote as they dont draw the crowds to the stadiums.

So Bologna will take one of the promotion places for sure.....

Carpi at home to Bologna today. 1st V 2nd in Serie B.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
Im taking them 13/10 doubled up with Las's Monaco pays about 4/1

think I will cash out, betting on the Italian league is a risk, betting on French league is a risk...putting them both in a double I must have been mad... :D
Carpi look to be strolling home for Serie B 12pts clear 8 games left.. thanks for the tip for season long bet :o

    Gentleman,

Messi is 13/5 to lift the Ballon D'or 2014(PP)
Ronaldo is 3/1 to lift the Ballon D'or 2014(888)

Not an arb, but pretty damn close considering nobody else has won it since 2008 and can't see anyone else winning it.

    Good bet for large stakers.

Flicking through some old bets and forgot to call this as a winner :pac:

Remembered how good it felt having got Ronaldo at 3/1

Just went big on PSV to beat Twente tomorrow evening. (Odds around evens everywhere.... for now)

Reason is that Twente will rest several players who are either just returning from international football or are just dealing with some light injuries.

Not playing: Andreas Bjelland, Luc Castaignos, Jesus Corona and Ziyech (susp)
Renato Tapia has only returned from Peru yesterday.
Another youngster, Ter Avest (played with teh Dutch U19 3 matches i na week) and Orlando Engelaar will most likely be rested too

Another defender left Twente earlier in the week to go back to Sweden but i dotn think he played a lot lately anyway but with Bjelland out he would have played tomorrow i suppose.

Can only guess but this will not make Jong Twente any stronger tonight away to Volendam either So 2 Twente losses for me @2.88 (bet365)

Reason why Twente is resting so many is they play Zwolle for the Dutch cup on tuesday and that is their last chance for european football as there is another point deduction for them around the corner because of financial troubles.

    Usually stick with the banter thread as I'm not willing to stake my bets as tips as I only look for value odds so they may lose but the odds were good. However, I have an actual tip to share;

PP only, unfortunately, but the La Liga top goal scorer market has not been updated today (it seems). Ronaldo to win is 6/5 and he is 4 goals clear of Messi. Messi is 8/13. There are 9 games left; 4 goals is a lot of ground to make up! Or am I missing something?

EDIT: PP obviously watch this thread as he has gone to 1/4 in the last 30 minutes. Maybe we should set up a private tips group?

This is a little tip I saw in the fantasy football forum.
Charlie Austin is 50/1 to finish top scorer.
    As it stands:
    Costa 19
    Kane 19
    Aguero 17
    Austin 16
    Giroud 14
    Sanchez 14

With Costa injured and Aguero out of form, 50/1 looks like great value. Spurs have nothing to play for anymore so I can see Kane's run of form coming to an end. QPR are still in the hunt for survival so Austin should be well up for every game. They play Villa tomorrow so if he scores a couple in that the odds should drop significantly.

took a bit of Charlie Austin 50/1 top scorer , thx for tip.

Eibar and Reading double tonight 5/1, Blackpool were relegated and Eibar well I just love the underdog small club fairytale.

Posting this here as it may get lost in Daily thread. Last week I asked Skybet on Twitter odds on Lukaku to leave Everton in Summer Permanently to any club . They have me 3/1 think it's a great price. Has to be dial a bet for those interested. Tried ring them Last week and no joy getting through only just remembered there.

    Man Utd v Man City
Kompany to be shown a card 2/1

Kompany been booked in this fixture at old trafford for the last 4 seasons, he's a doubt for the game but hopefully he plays.

    Wednesdays CL matches:

Porto DC (@2.05)/ PSG - Barca (@1.8) double

Not many are able to win in Estadio Dragao over the years. Since 2001 they only lost 8 at home (select home/CL on the top) in the CL and i am sure there might be 1 or 2 of those where the result didnt matter in the group stages anymore. Only 2 of those defeats came in the knock out stages, Real and Utd
A full strenght Bayern team would be capable of doing the same as Real and Utd did in 2003 and 2009 but when Bayern are missing:

Arjen Robben, Medhi Benatia, David Alaba, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Frank Ribery and Javi Martinez you know it will not be easy to win there for them and evens for a Porto DC i cant let go.

Bayern is so hit with injuries, they only had 4 subs last saturday on the bench.

    Porto will be without Tello

PSG - Barca BTTS is just what they do.

One of the guys in PB group said this was strange odds so did some digging:

    Panthrakikos V Olympiakos Wednesday 17:00

    Panthra are 11/1(SportingBet) to win.(9/1PP)
    Yet the DC is 11/10(PP)

    Olympiakos are 8/13
    Draw is 17/10

    Odds seem very strange.

Panthra have only lose 1 home game in their last 18 games. 4 home losses in last 30 games.

    Worth keeping an eye on

    Reading v Bournemouth
    Bournemouth 6/10 on local http://www.toals.co.uk/l/Football---Football+Matches/e/Reading+V+Bournemouth---570548

Reading playing Arsenal Saturday in FA Cup semi final, looks like Reading playing weaken team tonight.
Royals' boss says he will not be thinking about the title race when he selects his side to face Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Steve Clarke says he will not be thinking about the teams contesting for the Championship title when he names his team to face Bournemouth in midweek.
Royals host the table-topping Cherries on Tuesday night, just four days before they take on Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
So Clarke is expected to rotate his squad for the game and risks the wrath of title rivals Middlesbrough, Watford and Norwich if he plays a weakened team.
But Reading’s manager, who saw his side draw 0-0 with Blackburn on Saturday, is not bothered in the slightest.
“I only want to do what’s good for this club,” he said.
“Any other club at this moment in time I don’t have any interest in.”

Reading played at Watford two days before their FA Cup quarter-final replay against Bradford and Clarke fielded a much-changed team at Vicarage Road.
Not one player who lined up against the Bantams faced the Hornets
and when asked if he would do something similar against Bournemouth, Clarke was keeping things close to his chest.
“You’ll have to wait until Tuesday to see,” he said.
“Some people will tell you I make lots of changes every week.
“I only focus on Reading, that’s my team. I want to win every game.”

Norwich v Midd ---- Winner takes 1st place

    mid on Norwich @evens
    Low on Norwich -1 @ 11/4
    Low on Norwich +1.5 11/10

Borro defense not looking so well

    --Boro--
Boro are without defender Jonathan Woodgate, who has a hamstring problem.
Defender Daniel Ayala (thigh) is a doubt, as is winger Albert Adomah (calf and ankle), while Chelsea loanee Tomas Kalas plays his final game for Boro.

Boro have won only one of their past seven away games in all competitions. Their only win on the road since 10 February was 1-0 at Derby in the Championship on 17 March.
Karanka will need to decide if club captain Jonathan Woodgate can start a second game in 72 hours, though that decision may be taken out of his hands after the former England international hobbled off on Tuesday night.

    --Norwich---
The Canaries have won five of their past seven home games, drawing one and losing one. They have scored 46 goals at Carrow Road this season

Edit- Not looking good at halftime. Early OG didn't help

Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Victory. 2.24 for the Melbourne win. Melbourne top of the league with only one loss in their last 10 away games. Brisbane team just announced and they're resting half the team as they have a big Asian Cup game on Tuesday.

    Barceloan vs PSG

Looking at Barca run in for the season. Their hardest remaing game is Espanyol, Espanyol with nothing rreally left to play for but beating their City rivals.

I think PSG @15/2 to win in 90 mins is hughe for PSG.

The game may turn like Monaco vs Aresenal. All PSG..... But this is Barca, so could be barca 5-0. :)

Still think focus may be on the league game as the CL is all but done.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Atletico the bogey team for Real? Also Modric (the catalyst for their recent good form) is out injured along with Bale. Atletico at around 4/1 looks tasty.

Think they have a good record away, missing at least 1 starting player I think as he got booked in the first leg. That said Real created enough chances in the first leg that I think 2-1 or 3-1 to Real is a likely scoreline.

I could be wrong but I don't foresee that many goals at all. If Atletico score 1 goal, Real have to get 2, so I expect Atletico to play very tight and hope to nick one at some stage. They are very strong defensively and Real will have a serious job trying to score against them. Even if Real DO score, Atletico will continue to play defensively, knowing that they still just need one goal to go through, as long as Real don't score another.

The fly in the ointment (of course) would be if Atletico scored early - unlikely imo, with them set up so defensively - and Real had to throw everything at them, knowing they had to score twice. I would still trust Atletico defensively in this scenario though.

Several bets appeal: Atletico to win the match at 4/1, Atletico to qualify at 23/17, HT score 0-0 at 2/1 but, in particular, under 2.5 goals at 10/11 on Betfair Sportsbook. I have had a good bet at that price and would advise anyone who fancies it to get on now as this is by far the best price available on the "unders" and will probably be cut today.

Shano is helping out with free bets.
All 3 players are highly unlikely to start. So you get free inplaybet and assurance that your original bet will be returned.

My only issue is I tend to go for high odds in play given that the bet is free. I might be more sensible this time round.

Also, for anyone who's just opened a Bet365 account, I just backed Carrick as first goalscorer, and that counted towards the money I needed to put in to unlock the signup bonus.

One but last round of the Dutch eredivisie today

Some of you will be tempted to do all matches BTTS and or overs so lets see which matches to look out for as it come to teams actually fighting for something.

    40311e9549a1cf7175ed64efdda378d1.png

    Utrecht - Excelsior

Utrecht has nothing to play for while Excelsior could secure another season of Eredivisie when they grab a point or more if AZ beats NAC. Utrecht not having a great season, certainly not at home while Excelsior is having more fun away from home than at home.

Long list of absentees for Utrecht, including some defenders. Excelsior missing Bruins who has been great for them but also missed the last few matches already

With Excelsiors style of play i can see them score at least once while their defensive frailties.

BTTS i cant see fail. Excelsior DC @1.75 might be ok too.
Taking Excelsior over 1,5 @2.2 myself

    AZ - NAC

Must win game for both. Simple like that. AZ can still finish 3rd due to Feyenoord ****ing up royally the last 3 matches and NAC still can avoid relegation play offs with them 3 point behind Excelsior.
If there is a match ruining your BTTS or or overs combo, my guess is it will be this one.
Avoiding this one like the plague myself pre kick off. Might see what happens during play.

Az without without Gudelj (who is sold to Ajax) due to suspension. Nac also some injuries and suspensions but no one they will really miss.

    Willem II - ADO

Nothing match but between 2 teams that are not too much of goal machines.
No idea. Could end up with 8 goals or just 22 players who want to go on holidays.

    GA Eagles - Heerenveen

Eagles still with a small chance to avoid relegation play offs but a team that scored 6 goals since the winter break will not score a lot against Heerenveen ll of a sudden.
Heerenveen is rather care free for this match, only playing for which place the finish in the play off for EL.

Might go for Heerenveen over 1,5 @1.83
At the other hand, if they score 2, it will most likely result in them winning that match (@2.3)
Another one to be careful about as it comes to overs and btts.

Heerenveen player Larsson is a doubt and it would make sense to not risk him with the play offs around the corner. He will be missed if he doesnt start.
Eagles not really missing players who can make or break a result.

    Ajax - Cambuur

Cambuur still with a theoretical chance to get to EL play offs. Need a win for that. Might get something from a lacklustre Ajax whose season is over a while ago already. Still, wouldnt bet on that if i could use your money for it.
Ajax without Klaassen and probably without Milik.

    PSV - Heracles

Now here i can see a good few goals. but apparently i am not the only one as the line for decent odds is 4. Taking over 4,5 @2.5 as combo filler myself.
PSV can break their own record of 17 wins in 1 season while Heracles isnt entirely safe yet for relegation play off. Although the world will sound turn the other way around than Heracles ending up there.

Could also be a very frustrating match this. Depay wants to become top scorer of the eredivisie. Nothing wrong with that ambition if it wasnt for the fact that his most realistic opponent for that is his team mate Luuk de jong who is 2 goals behind.
Depay has been behaving like the eredivisie's own Christiano Ronaldo this season, brilliant at time but very selfish and frustrating for even his onw team at other times (missing 6 or 7 penalties is not good)

    Groningen - Zwolle

Zwolle "needs" a point for EL play offs (Superior GD means they have that point more or less). Groningen beat them last week in the cup final and have EL
Zwolle's trainer Ron Jans spent in total about 12 years at Groningen as player and later their trainer and is still very populair there.
Everybody will understand it when Zwolle gets what they need today.
H2H in Groningen is dodgy as **** though with 9 wins for Groningen, 3 draws and no win for Zwolle. But since the cup final is being played before the penultimate round of the league, the winner of the cup has lost their next match every time since 2011

    Twente - Dordrecht

Misery at Twente continues. They have passed on a free EL qualification ticket based on fair play for the simple fact that they would be able to afford costs if they would turn out to have to play a bunch of nobodies from Farawaystan.
That they were offered a "fair play" ticket is a contradiction in terminis seeing the way they financially cheated the league the last decade or so.

Dordrecht is down to play Jupiler league next season.

Both clubs have said they just want to go out and enjoy themselves in the last 2 matches.
Could mean a lot. All i know is that normally you will see 5 or 6 players not back at Twente as they have to sell and sell cheap.
Would only help them to get pay roll down as transfers sums are more likely eaten up by "investment" construction even their former chairman took part in.

Think i ll take very unrealistic over 1,5 goals @4.5 for Dordt for the fun of it.
    Them just scoring is @1.72

Feyenoord - Vitesse is tomorrow because the police had no time today for football in Rotterdam. They are on strike, maybe next time they should just disable the 17.000.000 speeding cameras as case of action. Would make more friends than having people to go tomorrow evening to Rotterdam from all over the country.

So after al lthat typing.... Just sort it out yourself :P

Not that hard.... took a treble of Excelsior over 1,5/Dordrecht over 1,5 and PSV match over 4,5 > @25 or thereabouts.

It is just that every match has a big "BUT" in my opinion.

So dont expect a "cant fail to win" tip

    FGS Barca Montoya

    Team is likely to be
Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Jordi Alba; Rakitić, Busquets, Iniesta; Messi, Suárez, Neymar.

PP - Adriano Correia who isn't likely to play , is preffered over Montoya.

Bet365 - Periera for Barca. He has no CL starts and 200mins in the league.

Only 10 in the conference, theres 20 in the league and they all seem to play each other. Dc beat Orlando away last month, most of Orlando's good results are against lower placed teams.

    Some reviews here

Back to the Chinese League with me!

Gungzhou Evergrande V Shanghai East Asia

    2nd V 1st

Gungzhou Evergrande have had a tight run of schedule.

Since the start of this month they have already played 4 games the latest being on the 13th. Which will only be 2 days break before they face a Strong Shanghai side.

Shanghai on the other hand have had fixtures a little easier. 3 games this month with much nice breaks. There latest game was on the 12th giving them an extras day rest before this fixture.

I think with Gungzhou having so many fixtures in such a short period fatigue will set in. They lost there most recent game 2-1 away while Shanghai won theres.

These sides have only met 3 times. Shanghai havn't won any, and lost the last 2 5-0 and 1-0. But I'm not really focusing on the before fixtures.

Shanghai in their last 5 away games. Drew 2 Won 2. Lost 1. Havn't lost away since since mid March.
Shanghai only 1 defeat away in last 11 games.

Prices I like the look of are :

    Shanghai DC EVENS
    BTTS O2.5 EVENS
Goal After 75:59 5/6 (Mostly due to thinking Gungzhou will be tired, but I may wait in play)
Shanghai to Win Either Half 13/8

Already backed Shanghai DC and to win Either Half. Will see how the first 20-30 mins go for other bets.

    Shano.
