    2 x 1.5kg extra light Extract

    150g Roasted Malt
    180g Pale Chocolate Malt
    120g Cara malt
    200g Golden syryp
    250g Dextrose

    30g Nugget in boil
    20g Fuggles finishing

    Safale 04

    4 Vanilla Beans sliced open & soaked in jar with bourban for 2 weeks added to secondary after 10 days

    O.G. 1056

    made to 23 ltr


    Now bottled in 46 x 500ml swing tops

    Just as a matter of interest, how much bourbon did you use to soak the vanilla pods? Did you dump the bourbon as well as the vanilla pods into the secondary?

    100ml and the whole lot went in.

    cracked open a bottle yesterday after chilling for a few hours .

    It is delicious , only a slight hint of Vanilla so maybe up the amount next time , theres a hint of the bourbon taste also but very faint , and a bit darker than expected it pours light brown but looks more like a porter in the glass , i`ll defo do this brew again
