I think his faults are easy to see.

It's harder to quantify the effect of having someone who's better on the ball, quicker and capable of stretching the play like Johnson can.

Even if he doesn't actually have great end product obviously adding quality to the team improves the quality of play.

absolutely no width, the centre of the pitch is packed and we have no guile in there whatsoever

no width with zero guile in central areas is the recipe for draws at home.

Their full backs and possibly front two would improve us.

Aspas needs to start showing some quality, he looks muck so far.

Moses looks lively however, but we badly lack someone to spot the quick precision pass in the midfield.

Sluggish performance.

Agger has been excellent, Sakho better than the other night.

Lucas is pretty anonymous imo, he's not protecting the back 4 and he's not giving them enough options when playing out from the back.

Gerrard is doing okay, few world class moments.

Henderson is contributing little, I don't think today's type of game is where we see his best attributes. I'd prefer Alberto.

Aspas had done well imo and looks better than the last few performances.

Moses struggled early on but seems to have the beating of Clyne now. You have to admire his persistence, he lost the first few duels but was still willing to take him on every time. It's a welcome change from Downing who never had the balls to a take on a full back.

Sturridge is having an off day.

Reckon it'll end 0-0, don't see us scoring.
