This has been coming. Gerrard playing in a position where he is undroppable and ineffective. Midfield is headless. Defence is nervous and pressurising the keeper

Most of these guys would be in our first XI let alone challenge for it. Not much difference in terms of quality in fairness.

I'm gunna say it, Lucas is shocking.

He was slated (over the top) when he arrived. He was then overrated for putting in a string of good performances before his injury.

He is a player we should be upgrading on ASAP. Good character yes, but not enough quality in this key position of the field.

What would you do?
We rely heavily on Coutinho to create openings & our bench is basically our U21 side. Gerrard & Lucas are so slow its like their legs go at half time every game.

Gerrard should take the slack aswell, but at least he offers us something in possession, I fail to see what Lucas offers at all

He really wasn't. Lucas now is a very different player to the one prior to his injury. By chirstmas it should be beyond reasonable doubt whether or not he's ever going to recover.

Regardless we need someone in who's good enough to make DM his own.
