Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best team today, best team in the last game as well.

to all the cork fans who went on and on about how if they play well they would win, and disregarded clare, let this be a lesson.

Yep, Clare led for the entire game.

It took Cork drawing level in the second half to give Clare a kick up the ass!

    Congrats Clare.

Unreal Final, great advert for the game of Hurling.

Both sides played great stuff, but Clare certainly deserved their win over the two games.

Well done to Clare....made of stern stuff....huge resilience from them to lift themselves again and get over the line in impressive manner. Mayo footballers could learn a thing or two from that display!

That was absolutely amazing. Real nail biter. Great game from both sides. Few bizarre non-calls from the ref, the last goal just fell over the line. Brilliant.

what is it with bogmen mentality.

They scream into microphones, don't they know with a microphone it rids the need of shouting

I don't mean to be overly negative, but how is Naughton an intercounty hurler?

Well done to Clare, the better team on the day, were very clinical. The goal at the end was ridiculous though :P

Usually All-Ireland finals are cagey affairs. The punters would have been all over low scoring games, no goal scorers etc. But for some reason, Cork and Clare have decided to bring all-ireland finals to crazy town.

And I couldn't be more happy. What a game, a privelige to witness it. And Clare deserving winners.

First mention their players, Conor McGrath was outstanding. Big performances in the backs from Donnellan and I thought O'Connor too. John COnloin won a serious amount of ball in the first half and had a hand in the 3rd goal. Thought Podge Collins actually did well as a link man in the ffirst half, Tony Kelly continued in the rich vein of form he's hit since the Limerick game.

And psecial mention to O'Donnell. On and off the team this year, actually though McInerney would replace Honan if anyone, but 3-3 in a match is unreal. And at 19 in an all-ireland final it's incrdible.

Lastly, I'm not a fan of Fitzgerald at all (and hence, crediting the players first unlike RTE) but he does deserve great credit for his part in what Clare have achieved this year. Well done Clare.
