Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not a techie person but Santa brought an iPad last year :)
This is my first time updating iOS
    Which I have done
    BUT
It's eating my bloody battery - as in a % every couple of mins or so. This is ridiculous
I turned off the automatic app thingy in settings already but the battery is still being run down at the rate of ninety
Am I doing something wrong or missing something? No music or videos downloaded btw
At this rate the iPad is practically a write off as a full battery will only last a couple of hrs at best.
    Help!

Try a hard rest of holding the power and home buttons until the iPad restarts.

If that doesn't work, restore in iTunes and set it up as a new iPad; don't restore from a backup.

If anything I'm finding the battery life on my ipad slightly better since the iOS7 update.

This seems to be a random glitch that turns up every now and then with iOS. I know the issue is on an iPad but the same happened on my iPhone a couple of years ago.

My phone wouldn't go into standby meaning that usage and standby time were identical and thus eating battery. I was able to resolve it temporarily by switching mobile data on and off briefly. This lasted until my phone was rebooted. In my case it was only until I updated the OS that it went away (wasn't bothered restoring it).
