Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi anyone any idea when the next new ipad is being released? was gonna buy an ipad but dunno to wait if a new one is being released.

    Very good quality and very good value for money IMO. Although you'll be able to pick one up for cheaper next month.

    I have an iPad 4 and while it's an excellent tablet, screen is unreal and I can make videos from my GoPro on it with pretty much no lag...value for money wouldn't be a term I'd use to describe it. You can get plenty of capable tablets for a hell of a lot cheaper. But if you want the more premium quality product then you've to pay for it.

    Well that was my rationalisation when I bought mine anyway!

    I've no idea how much the latest galaxy tab is but if they're similar money is go for the iPad again. It is a lovely piece of kit to use. The only bad thing about it is comparable tabs have expandable memory so if you're travelling or away from a computer for a while you can load films and stuff onto cards and you're away. I was travelling for 3 months and had gone through all my stuff in a few weeks

    Let's be honest, it's a lot easier to just pop in a pre loaded card than it is to load all the stuff to a cloud then have to find a good Internet connection so you can download 10gb of movies into your iPad. This is a problem I encountered, some people may not

    You are correct, its a device back up, not a storage facility.
    I bought a 32GB Kensington WiFi Hard Drive which I load up with whatever movies, docs music I need and bring it with me. It means I can always buy a 16GB device now, and have storage on tap.

    I have an iPad 4 and a galaxy tab for work. The iPad just wins hands down for my needs.

    But hey, try both. It's a reasonable expense so don't buy on impulse. Go into all the shops and have a mess about with them.

    Don't rule out the new nexus 7. Super product, I picked mine up for 200 euro new. Only released last month. 7 " tablet if you want a 10" look at the nexus 10.

    If I was you I would get similar to what phone you have. If you are used to Android get the nexus and save yourself some money, if you are used to ios just get an ipad.

    Use for what? That connector only works for photos or video from the card to the iPad, it won't work to transfer storage across.
