Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My mother in law is visiting me now in Ireland from China, I hope to take her to travel to uk for couple of days during her short stay in Ireland, i wonder if she is eligible to apply a travel visa to uk if she travels with me as eu family (I am holding Irish passport), I know my husband can easily apply it because he is holding residence card in Ireland, how about my mother in law, can she also apply the same travel visa in uk embassy in Ireland even she is holding a travel visa in Ireland.

Looking forward to getting your advice. Thanks.

    The answer is no .

UKBA is very strict on the this , you will have to apply from you home country i.e China in this case . You immigration status / finance etc dosn't make any difference .

The time they will allow will be if its a medical or a reason for which its a must like a court case etc if you are not in you own home country .

If you have any stamp in Ireland i.e CLASS D visa , ( visitor visa is class C ) you can apply online for visa without any problem .

The above is for a normal UK VISA . If you apply under EU treaty rights you MAY BE eligible but

A it take about 6 months
B you need to show lot of stuff of dependence on you
C UKBA love to create problems ....
