Hi

I'm heading to Bali solo in October from Oz for 6 days. I've booked a place to stay in Ubud for a few days but I would like to stay near a nice beach for a few days too. I'm not looking for a party place so from what other people have said Kuta probably wouldn't be a good option! If anyone has any advice that would be great.

Hi, the beaches around kuta aren't the best, after ubud id head to seminyak which is above Kuta, it's the up market area plenty of good hotels restaurants and bars and the beach is ok.... Hope this helps

this might be too late, but try some of the hostels such as jolie hostel, you will usually find other young travellers there so you end up with travel buddies, plus the beaches on the south part of the island are great.
