Is the plantation softwood or hardwood?
    What exactly are you selling?

Is that a 7 ton truck?

Last year I bought 8 dump trailers of first thinnings for €900. Each load was more than 7 ton as I weighed them on local weighbridge.

Also, yours look very thin. Are you sure that you're not thinning too early?
The first thinnings that I bought were from min 5" diameter up to max 11". Any thinner than that would have had poor burn value for me.

For Grant reasons we had to do 1st thinnings. The plantation is mixed & the Larch Trees were growing well over the Oak trees Therefore Oak not getting enough Sunlight. In along the lines some of the trees are smaller alright. Havn't a clue what weight that Load is maybe 8 tonne - i suppose if wood gets wet it can add a lot of weight to it also.

This is the company who we planted with http://www.swsforestry.ie/?page_id=41

Do you have any concerns letting lads you don't know into your plantation with saws? Chainsaws are the one thing public liability doesn't cover...
A guy down our way lost a farm with a casual worker getting injured using a saw.
