Think they might be messing! The clothes in the still are different from those in the bar, and in the FFs. He hardly changed and then changed again!

Picture is definitely from Granite state.

clothes are what Walt was wearing when he got dropped off by Mr Vacuum and he went straight down to the gate and instead of marching straight out... said "tomorrow"

look at the still... no hair under that hat is another giveaway, and i don't think he was wearing the Heisenberg hat when he went down to the pub

Definite final episode spoiler if accurate. Not massive, but gives a strong indicator of some of the content. You have been warned!

    SPOILER ALERT!

The actress playing Gretchen did scenes in ABQ for the final season. The TV interview in Granite State was filmed in New York (very final scene to be filmed apparently). Therefore, we haven't seen her ABQ scene yet! Flashback I reckon.

I still reckon that it's no flashback.. they are getting the Ricin!

    2 questions though:

Why he would want to kill Gretchen and Elliott with ricin? (Why not just blow them away with the machine gun?)

And how is he going to administer it? (Surely they won't invite him to a dinner party.) Maybe Jesse's paranoia is a hint ("have me sit on a poison needle").

Gretchen and Elliot will have no part to play in the finale. Their appearance was just to reinforce both in Walt and in the audience that:

"Whatever [Walt] became, the sweet, kind, brilliant man that we once knew long ago, is gone".

Seems kinda excessive to bring to characters, so close to the heart of Heisenberg, back to state the obvious?

Surely a police news conference could of done the same job, I dunno it would be odd for me after that interview for them not to be involved somehow in the finale.

I get where you're coming from, but a police news conference wouldn't have hit as close to home to Walt as Gretchen delivering that same statement did. :)

Sorry if this has been mentioned already but whatever loose ends are tied up in the last episode, there is one that must be resolved.

Walt has to send the co-ordinates showing where Hank is buried to Marie. The Nazis certainly won't and Jesse - as of now - is unable to.

A bit more than that surely? But for that appearance, Walt would have been arrested.

No, Walt won't allow his legacy to be written off so easily.

Why does he have to do that? He told her already, "You're never gonna see Hank again".

Anyway, Marie better be dead by the end the series! :D

Walt said that to Skyler during the phone call in Ozymandias.

I am hoping he has enough humanity left to do the decent thing by his sister-in-law. It would cost him nothing.

Don't worry, that's where the ricin cigarette comes into it - Walt offers one to Marie because she's so stressed about not knowing if Hank is dead or alive, and then she sh*ts herself to death. Ahaww, Heisenberg you've done it again!
    Ricin cigarette lol :D

I'm not entirely clear as to why Saul felt the need to go on the run. Was he really implicated in any criminal activity ? Had he anything to fear from the Nazis or Lydia ? Didn't really make sense to me.

He knew something was up with Huel. Sure he was wearing that Kevlar vest once Huel's phone stopped working.
Likely he figured Huel had made him and wanted to get out of there.

While it would be an interesting plot line, I can't see Walt using Grey Matter to get the money to his family. Why would they go along with it? There would be nothing to gain for them and everything to lose.

    True.

It makes little or no sense. What if Walter pulls some kind of blackmail move on them?

Was trying to work out with a mate what the finale title means.

Anagram of "Finale" is the obvious one.

    But...

    Fe = Iron
    Li = Lithium
    Na = Sodium

    Blood, Meth, and Tears!

Thought we were total geniuses and were going to post it online, turns out someone on Reddit got there two weeks before us! :pac:

I checked the thread if this was posted on the explanation of Felina, as i googled it, dont look if you dont want to spoil it,
told you not to look :D
    • "Felina" is an anagram for "finale",
and is also the feminine version of the word "feline" in Spanish.
    • The word "Felina" can be made from these three chemical element symbols: Fe (Iron), Li (Lithium) and Na (Sodium).
    • Vince Gilligan's exclusive tease for this episode (as seen on Talking Bad) was one word: "Woodworking".
    • The title may be a reference to the 1959 song "El Paso" by Western music artist Marty Robbins. The song concerns an unnamed cowboy who falls in love with a woman named Faleena.

it's from the Breaking Bad wikipage

Also here's a promo pic for the finale 363px-BB-S5B-Finale-Key-Art-796x1050.jpg

^^^ I am not answering the above question, which would obviously be against forum rules.

On a completely separate note, I find myself waking up in the middle of the night on Mondays recently around 3:30am. It's a very strange problem that's been affecting me the last 7 weeks.

I could never take Grethcen seriously, I see her and think, "Hey, she's the lesbian in 'Friends'!" (Ross's ex wife's missus, susan)

(Dunno if it's been mentioned before)

Edit: Nothing against lesbians mind you, it's just the contrast between the two characters, and I never liked either of them :D )

Felina is the name of the finale btw. It has to be because the next preloaded Talking Bad episode is named Felina.

There was some scepticism for a while over the fact that AMC didn't officially confirm it. All we had was an image of a script held by Marie.
I read somewhere - can't remember where - that "Felina" hasn't been officially confirmed as the episode title, and is just based on someone seeing the actress playing Marie with a script with that title.

This could break viewing records in the US, as i think the final ep of MASH has it or maybe the Sopranos.
As i remember George Wendt/Norm was asked on the LLS on the Cheers finale, he had said it was only a tenth of what Mash had.

So i assume Mash has it, as i dont know how many watched The Sopranos?

AMC's cutomer base is way too small. They're competing with the likes of HBO and Showtime, not the big networks. I even doubt if BB has a fighting chance against GoT in the torrent "hit list".
