I think it's more to do with Todd's respect for Walt. Jack listens to Todd and that's also why Jesse is still alive.

Not really; Jack mentioned to Walt that Todd respects him and that's why he's sparing him. We even see Todd having a word with his uncle beforehand. I reckon that decision could definitely come back to haunt them though...;)

I also never had a problem with Jesse's ricin epiphany - it was pretty straightforward logic to me!

God, I'm really going to miss this show
