    RIP Walt.

Was pretty good - and with such a loaded finale, how much better could it realistically have been? I loved it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,748 ✭✭✭tony1kenobi

If Walt laid flat on the ground he would have avoided that bullet.
    He sacrificed himself for Jesse.
    It's dusty in here.

Good but poignant ending, he went the way he wanted, who got Jesse

I thought it was going to be on for another while so that ending kinda surprised me.

    Balls. :(

It was great that the song that everyone was speculating was in relation to the meth and not his family.

Perfect ending to the best TV show ever. Loved when Jesse choked out Todd, that f*cking ****.

jesse will be back next week with skinny pete and badger to look for the rest of the money. has to be around somewhere!

All the predictions appeared online and the most popular came true tonight.

Note to self: Dont get too excised about a finale again

    That was ... lacking :(

I loved it. Todd's ringtone for Lydia.

The little nod Walt and Jesse shared as if to say "we were in this together", Walt's approving glances at Jesse's setup, Walt dying holding a mask.

    Ugh.

Really? What more did you expect them to do in under an hour? There was no way he was going to live

Class just class, everyone loose end tied up nicely. He was always going to die imo.

I think it was inevitably going to be a little disappointed, regardless how it ended

no tension like 2 or 3 weeks ago. but some of the moments were class, with the laser beams, walt being the other side of the pillar in skylar's place, and the deadly magyver machine gun that he built.

Yeah i wanted a bit more myself, but we always want a bit more, at least it didnt end up like the sopranos.

I liked how Walt cut Jack off mid-sentence like he had done to Hank.

I liked Walt's conversation with Skyler. "I did it for me".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,975 ✭✭✭iMuse

I love the way he shot jack without even listening about were the money was, only thing missing was a sendoff to Saul

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

I loved it too, he tied up all loose ends and said his goodbyes to Skylar and Holly(obviously couldn't with Walt Jr.), and in the end went to the Nazis and got his revenge, it wasn't about the money in the end. Also loved seeing Jesse strangle the life out of that pr!ck Todd! And his reaction on bursting through the gates was excellent, pure relief. At that point Walt had achieved all he wanted to, and was happy to see out his final moments in the environment he had loved the most, the lab.

I'd agree, there was a lot of great bits in it... but I'm still left with a feeling of "so, that's it then"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

To be honest Ozymandias was the true finale, the final two episodes were all about tying up loose ends, and by gum were those ends tied.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,825 ✭✭✭Timmyctc

That finale needed to be a slight bit longer. Most of the loose ends were tied up well. The confrontation with Gretchen & Elliot and Skylar were great but a bit short imo. The opening was great. Disappointed Jesse only got about 5 minutes of screen time if even. The M60 scene and Jacks death were great. Love how Walt interrupted him with the shot like he did Hank. Was too short to be excellent. Particularly feel Walt's death and confirming Lydia's inevitable death were too rushed and almost shoehorned in.

Perfect ending. Don't know how else it could have been done.

  • Registered Users Posts: 124 ✭✭Fiftysix

That ended perfectly. It had everything that the show was great for, some really fantastic interaction between Walt and the Family, some really really badass moments, his last moment was saving Jesse, then telling Lydia he had poisoned her. ****ing Brilliant.

Is Walt dead/dying at the end? It was just a flesh wound I thought?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,975 ✭✭✭iMuse

I think the scene with gretchen and elliot should have been last week to allow more time as there was too much spent in the cabin. The only complaints I have is no Saul and the end was a bit rushed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,096 ✭✭✭Reiketsu

Perfect ending, loved it. No loose ends, played out how I thought and hoped it would. So upset its over :(

I don't know what to say just yet. It was practically perfect. I'll need to watch it again advert free

Wonderful ending. If breaking bad was more by the book, I would have enjoyed a typical clichéd musical montage to show how others ended up. Could have shown Saul, Jessie etc

    He's dead, Jim.

But at peace with himself, all is good now. Heisenberg was just a bad dream.

I reckon that ending will be pure class if you watch the last 4 or 5 episodes on the trot.

they just mentioned the scene where walt takes the watch off at the gas station. when they shot the scene in the restaurant where he puts the bacon on the plate in the numbers 52, he's not wearing the watch. they kinda forgot it so they made a bit of a deal later when filming him on the way to ABQ

Not for me. I loved it.

Nazis and Lydia were finished. Jesse is free. Skyler, Walt Jr and Holly look like they'll be okay. And even though I was anti-Walt, his reunion with Skyler and Holly was nice, plus he saved Jesse.

All in all, there was no loose ends or ambiguity about the ending and everything that I wanted to happen, did happen.

Lovely ending to the best TV show ever.

    Really?

    Anyway...that's it.It's done.

I'm glad it got it ending it deserved.
