Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So why wasn't Giggs sent off? Think rarnes1 hit the nail on the head

Brendan Rodgers "couldn't fault the players thought they were excellent"

Rooney's black headband looks like it would be great for headers.

He should wear it all the time while playing, it is like wonder woman's bangles, a different person without it :pac:

And why isn't that a yellow as well? Same as hendersons

    Not the only thing

Should have booked Rooney for hand ball and Nani for diving :D

That wall was no where near 10 yards away

    An equaliser is inevitable.

Brendan Rodgers "couldn't fault the players thought they were excellent"

Tbh, probably our best performance of the season.

Think United lads on here would even say we were better side, not that either team has been great.

    Two very average teams TBH.

Liverpool have certainly had enough chances tonight. Just some heavy touches at the last moment.

    How do we keep...

    Sigh.

Jesus, you would swear the sky commentary team are upset Liverpool aint winning

Suarez is doing everything, but no-one else seems to have the energy.

How have Liverpool not scored tonight? It beggars belief given the possession they have had.

Since when does inevitable mean 'never coming'?

34 shots on goal between them, 1 goal

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Nani has showed why he should start. he can be irritating at times, but he offers so much more than valencia and young.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

3 mins? That crap with Giggs 5 mins ago took over a minute ffs.

Probably our best 2nd half performance all season & we are still going to lose

Giggs has been possessed or something

Haha, Giggs is like a mascot at this stage

    Two very average teams TBH.

Yeah, especially since United are starting with Smalling and Evans at CB, Buttner at LB, Jones and Giggs in CM, and Chicho up front.

    ...53%...?

Man Utd have had more shots on target and more shots in general.

Well I don't know how Moyes pulled that off with that midfield. Serious improvement needed, players need to start performing.

Bye bye pool maybe next year.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,755 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

I pity Zaha, he should have been given a run out.

Yarrrrr!!! Get the f**k in there. Good win for the B team even if it wasn't the greatest game.

Moyes is going on as if he's just won the Champions League.

Ah well there goes the treble....A cup double for Moyes could be a good start though. :pac:

Not to say that we were brilliant, but I actually think that was Liverpool's best performance of the season so far. At least we were competitive for the full 90 minutes, for once.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Best display from us for a while. Kagawa and nani have done enough for me tonight to be in the first eleven instead of Tony and young.

Great to see raf back and hernadez scoring (he should be used more)

Big shout out too Smalling he should be starting beside Vidic he was immense tonight.

In fairness, he needed that win against Liverpool, would have went down badly to have lost to Liverpool again so soon and after the bad defeat on Sunday to city.

Great to see welbeck on the bench for the b team.

Wow, I didn't see the stats but I wouldn't have thought that.

Even enough game. It really pays to have a born finisher on the field from United's point of view. Excellent win when you consider the respective strength of the sides put out. Phil Jones was my MOTM, but mentions to Buttner and Hernandez

Rooney worked very hard with a smile on his face, good to see. He's gonna have a huge season I feel

Thought Utd defended well, need to up things offensively if they are to do well this season though.

Great to see the reserves take care of an almost full strength Liverpool team.

The Sky sports panel reminds me of the Sunday Game panel.
