Compaq Presario 700 and keyboard

hi, mate has one of these and the keyboard has started going wrong. on log in only one key works, tried safe mode, same thing, however after 20 mins or so starts to work?? So took off passwords etc, checked drivers, all good. Googled no straight answers. So i think get a new keyboard??? The only thing is when i plug in a…

Is it a cabled or wireless Keyboard ?

its a laptop so the problem keyboard is internal cable i presume, usb is cable
