    No, this is the Rockstar downloader. Your files are being decrypted now, and you'll have a few updates afterwards. A 50mb and 350mb update, which currently is currently running at 40kb a sec. 1hr and 20mins to wait apparently.

    I cannot even get to the 350mb update, I get errors at the end of the 50mb one twice now hopefully third times the charm.

    Had 27GB free earlier this evening. Steam gave me an error message just now saying I had 1.74MB (yes - megabytes) hard drive space free. Immediately deleted the only other game I had on my drive

    Hit Pause and Resume if your download goes to a crawl. Did it three times and it's now just about ready to go.

    Oh lads, I'd love this game, waited for it soooo long, but I'm afraid my PC can't handle it :(:( </3 Got no money atm for an upgrade aswell :(

    Any1 wanna help me out and say, WHEN I get the money, what to upgrade ? :)

    Currently got Intel i3 3.3GHz, AMD Radeon HD 6770 GPU, 8GB RAM...

    Just got a disk write error and had to pull another game off my HDD.

    This is a bit like having a lovely dinner cooked for you and then the plate getting pulled away as you're about to tuck in. :P

    It stopped working for me when I hit 300MB downloaded. Now I am back to 50kb/s

    looks like you need 130gb free space.
    65gb for the installer and 65gb (or more) for it to unpack into :eek:

    Yes and it's taking about an hour to unpack.

    Got it to around 95% with the Pause/Resume trick, but it's stopped completely now. Connection to server lost.

    Yeah be careful if you are installing on an SSD. The game creates a depotcache folder in steamapps that will be 60g big AND keeps the files in the downloading folder also until the game is fully unpacked and playable.

    Thats a relief, watching a few live streams on twitch and people are deleting files off their hard drives like theres no tomorrow.

    That seems to be what the game is doing now to me on my Hard Disk. Despite downloading all 60 gigs I've still had to delete several games including the 27GB World of Warcraft (which was just a trial anyway). Refreshing My Computer now and the space is getting drained like crazy!

    My count down update went from 22minutes, then after a while I got , 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, ready to play......then.....55 minutes

    Lads just remember, games that are going to generate this much traffic on launch never ever do well on release. I wouldn't get your hopes up to play online tonight and I would wager the next few days will be rough going.

    Found this out too late. Uninstalling everything I can in a race against the unpacking. It's gotten to the point at times that my HD is so empty, I can't uninstall anything

    This is my 3rd time downloading the 350mb download, had to download the 50mb one 3 times as well. Why can't they have the app save the download file and have a retry button, how difficult would that have been to implement, dumb ass bastards.

    My 4 year old GTX460 has finally hit it's roof I think.Was forced to run it in DX10 rather than DX11, and had to turn a few settings down to the "normal" values. But for a 4 year old card, that was relatively budget spec at the time I can't complain.

    Still looks gorgeous even compared to the PS3 version that I remember playing. Envious of the 14440p displays. Can only imagine how sweet it must look!

    R9 290 here, game mostly runs at 60FPS Very High but there's the odd dip in framerate.

    Reckon an AMD Catalyst update for the game is in order. Still very playable though.

    Online was working anyway but took awhile to get in. Bought a car and apartment with the preorder monies but now I need to sleep!

    Got on for around 90 minutes last night, and it looks absolutely stunning. Running well (1080p @ 60 fps) with the odd dip in framerate. Might remove MSAA and see if that evens it out a bit more. It seems like it's optimised fairly well though, which is a surprise.

    It's gonna take me a while to get used to first person mode. While driving, I seriously over compensate when turning and end up spinning half the time. Ended up not finishing in my only race (online) last night after crashing out 3 or 4 times. It's kind of weird with shooting as well, or at least with the cover mechanic. Is it possible to be in 3rd person until you aim?

    Will hopefully get online for a few hours tonight, so we should try get a server full of boardsies. Can we password protect a game and only allow us into it? I know it's also fun with randomers, but it would be cool if we could get 10-15 of us all in one server.
