postgraduate diploma vs higher diploma

can anyone tell the difference between these diplomas. I was told a higher diploma is a level 8 whereas a postgraduate diploma is a level 9. what are they like for work expectation. are they harder than a level 8 undergrad degree?

A H. dip consists mainly of final year undrgrad modules and is considered on a par with a degree (level 8 as you said), whereas a postgrad diploma is made up of masters level modules at level 9.

So a postgrad diploma is probably more demanding than a hdip
