Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi everyone,

I have been seeing a woman from the U.S and we are planning on getting married, however she is currently living in the U.S and not an Irish Citizen. We decided that it would be best for us to live our lives here however I'm not sure what the procedure is for her in order to qualify for citizenship. Does anyone have any information on the subject?

If married then 3 years post marriage, as long as resident in the sate for at least one year proceeding application been resident in the state.

If not married then at least 5 years legal in Ireland then can apply for naturlisation.

But in any event you are putting the cart before the Horse, in that either you will need to get permission to enter and reside in the USA or she will need to get permission to enter and reside here. That can be done here either a stamp 4 based on defacto relationship (if you can show a relationship for at least two years) or after marriage you wife can apply for stamp 4 based on marriage.
