Graingergames cancelled my order and I've not found the PS3 version in stock anywhere, I want a physical copy.
Just wanted to check if anyone had see it in stock before I order one that I've to wait a week to ship.
    Thanks in advance <3

GameStop have it but its 50 Bob's unfortunately, too much for a PS3 game in this day and age, have you tried Argos or Smyth's? If you have either near you.

I haven't seen it under e50 yet, with postage or DPD it's ending up around 50 anyway.
I'm not seeing anything on the sites Argos just has PS4, Smyths or GS. Argos and Gamestop I'd be close to but not til tomorrow.

This will sound like sacrilege to some of you but I'm thinking of knocking the difficulty down to easy. I'm enjoying the combat and watching my party get stronger but ultimately I'm only really here for the story and the social links, management stuff, etc.

My only concern is that it will become a total cake walk. I still want it be necessary to use my personas, to have to fuse to keep up with the bosses. I'd hate to be able to melee my way through the game.

This will be the first JRPG that I finished, as well as my first turn-based combat game. Priority number 1 is finishing it because I love the world. I'm just at risk of pushing it aside if I'm 50 hours in and still grinding for bosses.

Anyone else in the same boat? Have you tried it on easy?

I'm always afraid of being too easy so I never did. Could you make a new save slot on easy and test it out?

I'm over 50 hours in and havent "grinded" at all for bosses, you do end up leveling up a decent amount just by doing the side quests in mementos. So if you dont plan on doing them, then i can see you might end up a bit under leveled. I started the 4th dungeon and got lucky off the bat figuring out enemy weaknesses and have been destroying mobs.

So i would advise continuing on normal, and if you start struggling in your ventures, then consider dropping the difficulty.

I played P3P on easy and I do think it made the game more boring than I thought it would.

Quite a few people play on easy and just want to enjoy the story, your gonna be putting a minimum of 100 hours into the game regardless of the difficulty anyway and till players get the hang of weaknesses and buffing/debuffing even normal can be a challenge.

That said I have been playing it on hard and have been really enjoying the battles, the mode is well balanced and nothing cheap has come up yet, plus the grind is fairly understated at the moment.

SMT games can be tough but more than manageable and there should be no need to do any grinding as long as you fight smart.

As I said before unlike other jrpg ganes stat buffs and debuffs are incredibly powerful in these games especially if you can stack them. There might even be abilities like fog breath that stack by 2 with one use. Abuse these and you will have no problems with bosses. Agility is probably the most powerful stat as it makes enemies miss and give you free turns.

I played that years ago and while it's short it's pretty good and got updated with a new translation since.

You can change difficulties at any time so if you drop down to Easy but feel bored you can go back to Normal. If you choose Safety you're stuck with it so avoid it unless you don't care about dungeoning.

Cheers for the replies. I'm gonna stick to normal for now. I don't mind getting my assed whooped every now and then but if I feel like things are coming to a standstill I'll switch to easy.

By the way, I just realised I have access to Izanagi and Izanagi Picaro. Can I use them straight away? Are they not ridiculously overpowered? I was under the impression that you can only wield personas that are the same level as you.

How lost would a newcomer to Persona be if they jumped in now? Seen a few videos and love the style of it but I like stories in games and don't want everything going over my head.

You should be fine, they're all separate stories. If you want to try a Persona game without spending too much pick up Persona 4, its €5 on the Vita atm and also available as ps2 classic on the ps3(US account required).

The games all have standalone stories, so you would not need to play the previous entries to enjoy this, it has no connection to past games.

All of the Persona games available on the Vita, Persona(psp), Persona 2: Innocent Sin(part 1, psp), Persona 2: Eternal Punishment(part 2, ps1 classic US only), Persona 3: Portable and Persona 4: Golden are also playable on a PSTV(€40 in CEX).

Whats a PSTV? Have you got a CEX link?

I think id prefer playing them on handheld device though, i prefer playing dated games on handheld as the dated graphics dont bug me as much :D

A PSTV is the innards of a PS Vita placed into a very small set top box for your tv that can be controlled with a Dual Shock 3 or 4 controller. It has all the functionality of a Vita, but is incompatible with games that require touch controls such as Little Big Planet.

I'm level 10 and I've been using a level 20 Izangani? It's taking a huge amount of of HP/SP to wield so it's not practical, but I've being using it successfully to get out of tight spots.

Again, I thought I couldn't use a higher level persona. What am I not understanding? Is it just the two DLC personas that I can use?

You can't use of fuse persona that are higher than your own level except the DLC ones. The exception are persona that fuse and level beyond your level from the social link exp bonus. And that's why social links are so important!
