I'm still behind, took a long break, beat the 5th palace, everyone hate it? Few people on FB saying they hated it, was a bit annoying but I wasn't too fussed.
Loving Futaba but have a soft spot for Haru too.
I'm glad I'm closer to the flashback part and glad too that Phantom Thieves are now a heel, nice change up.

I didn't hate the dungeon itself but that part of the game and a bit before it does suffer from poor pacing compared to the beginning.

I found the 3rd Palace the worst, very long and not super interesting. I thought the 5th was fairly straight forward to be honest. It looked on the map a lot worse than it was.
Yeah I think I can agree on the 3rd palace.
I got stuck in the second set of switches part and took about ten mins to fix it.

Yeah I did find the pacing slow now you mention it, there was days of no social links or anything because
Mona left and had a strop. My heart was broke though, don't even like cats.

Actually one thing that I found a bit annoying in this game was how often Mona told you to go sleep/not go out. Like leave me alone Mona, I'm a teenage kid

Just wondering will you guys be buying the dancing game?

Yeah it's so annoying especially if it's just story that happened. I might pick it up, like I'm saying it messing but there really should be a kart racer at this stage

    Nearly finished it (final palace).

It's a brilliant, mammoth, 100+ hour RPG. One of the best ever? Maybe, I haven't let that sink in yet.

    A few things I didn't like:

    - the English voices are not great, I actually think it might have been better with Japanese + subs, I'm not a van of having the English subtitles on the screen with the English voices (which you can't turn off!)
    - Ambush makes things a bit too easy, for the most part. It's nowhere near as difficult as P4. I think the only palace boss I actually struggled with was
    Madarame
, and I didn't grind at all. I also never really had to use much other than magic + healing + status items. I recall in P4 you really had to utilize everything at your disposal
    - It's really slow at times, like, really slow. I swear there's at least 3 hours of dialogue and not being able to do anything other than watch the screen between the 6th and 7th palace. And it takes at least 10 hours to properly get going at the start, too

Anyway, mostly minor gripes, really, overall it's brilliant, and I'll definitely be giving NG+ a go at some point in the future.

I dunno if anyone's done it but if you spend all your money on, let's say ... capsule toys (very Shenmue), Morgana will back you money for the train :pac:
Had it on Facebook and a friend was surprised so thought I'd share.

I finished this about 6 weeks ago and haven't been able to get in to anything since.

True, I felt the game really dragging at that point and there's a lot of plot exposition as its just after a big reveal, but it does pick up again once you start the 7th palace.

Sill though probably one of the best RPGs I've played since the Witcher 3 and no regrets paying full price for it as I was waiting and waiting for any kind of price drop which never came.

    I thought the part when
Mona left was the slowest, (although I'm just at the Casino palace atm). A lot if wasted days and felt awful without him telling me to go to bed early.

Persona 4 is playable in PS3 if you have a US account.

And so is 3 FES. P4 is also available on the Vita if you have one.

I've played 4. Might have a go of 3, is it available on the vita? I'm strongly considering buying a 3ds so I can play some of the shin megami tensei games.

The PSP version P3 Portable is available on the Vita. The graphics take a serious hit but it allows you to play as a female version of the protagonist which brings altered social links. The battle system is also changed allowing you to control the entire team and not just the protagonist.

    SMT IV is great :)
You'd have Apocalypse, Soul Hackers and Persona Q, a second one is coming out soon with P5 characters. I probably forget a game there. Anyway I don't think it's a bad investment.

I've been putting off getting a new 2DS because we have the Switch but ye are making me rethink that idea :D

The 2/3DS library puts to shame all current consoles. It's one of the best consoles ever made. No reason not to own one.

Ok, picking up a 2DS today. Which SMT should I get first? Is Persona Q worthy of a go?

I've only played 4, has the demon capture system, can pick moves during fusiom and fantastic music, it's about 40-60 hours depending on your ending.

I'll grab that so. Seems a little tricky to find online at a reasonable price, but I have the whole weekend to look now :D

The original SMT4 is only available here on the eshop.

So I'm just started on the last palace.
    I'm kinda sad,
thought I'd have a school year and get a New Years event like in the other games, it feels like I'm being cut short. Anyone else feel like that? I'd hoped Akechi would have a palace since he could come into Shido's and cause trouble making it a bit longer.

That meme is ON POINT! It really should be the name of the game :D
Honestly... I can totally imagine a P5 kart racer, especially with that red black theme

It took me 106 hours to complete the game. If there's one thing you can't complain about in P5, it's the length!

I'm at 116 hours in and I'm only half way through the last palace, 3 and 4 took under 95 hours. It's ages but I wanted more. Barely got any social link with Haru, I didn't realise she wasn't texting because you need Max proficiency

I managed to max out Haru, thankfully. She levels up very quickly, never needed any "filler" time with her. I maxed out all my party members, some of the benefits to doing so are amazing. Like surviving a KO, protecting you from a KO, getting rid of status ailments, and best of all, triple evasion of their weakness once you get level 10.

Hifumi was a great one to max out too, swapping party members mid battle, double money etc.

I got Max on death and near Max on Hifumi and Sun / politician. I'm hoping to max Kawaikami so I can go out at night and make up some extra time. I was 7 I think on fortune and 6 on Star. Motoko and Yusuke and Futaba were the only party members I got much time with, Ann and Ruiji annoyed me so I just got them as far as tbe back up attack. Found Sojiro very hard to do.
Sorry I'm in line at the airport so it's a bit muddled.

I got max on Kawaikami and got into a relationship. It's a little... weird.

Definitely max Kawakami as her rank 10 perk is the one that carries over to ng+, it will automatically unlock upon re-establishing the social link.

What else carries over? Vaguely, don't need full details
