Great story. He just seems like such a good guy, I've never read or heard anything remotely negative about him as a person and they all seem to love him. Hopefully he stays injury free and has a good career from here on in.

Does anyone know why WWE Shop doesn't sell the B?lor Club armband that he wears in matches? would seem it would sell well strange that they don't have it on there

Fair bloody play to him if he's actually with her. They may just be "very good friends".

Well according to the interwebs cathey has Irish ancestry so that may be the reason why.

She is a bad match for him, when you see the picture of them together it just reinforces the image of how undersized he is :P:P

I'm not a fan of Balor retweeting JBL he's done it a couple of times and don't think it's good for his rep, he's obviously never been a witness to any of JBLs crap or JBLs never messed with him because he's one of Triple H's guys

He knows JBL, we don't, whatever we hear about JBL even if it's completely accurate ot completely false, is all rumours and second (sometimes third or fourth) hand accounts. He knows the guy personally and presumably gets along with him if he's been retweeting things, whats wrong with that? To say it's bad for his rep is overthinking things at best.

He doesn't know him well enough, there's a lot of first hand accounts of JBL being a bully go ask Brian Christopher, Cyrus, Blue Meanie, Steve Blackman Mark Henry, Shawn Daivari, Matt Hardy, Renee Dupree, Ivory, The Miz Billy Silvermen ,Justin Roberts, Joey Styles, even Edge mentions an incident that happened with him in his book and unless your living with rose tinted glasses the last couple of months he's the reason Mauro Renaullo left WWE a while back. He maybe ok with Finn Balor but just because he does charity work now doesn't erase any wrong doings he has done in the past which is fact not rumours

I literally said whether it's completely true or false, under no illusions there has to be an element of truth to the stories at the very least. What i'm getting at is Finn is probably being a mature adult about the situation and taking people as they come. Plus people change, sounds like a crappy cliche but it's a fact of life, maybe he regrets everything he's done and is actively trying to improve who he is for all we know.

You're basically saying what Finn should do is to go up to this guy he's presumably friends or at least friendly acquaintances with and say "hey man, look we need to talk, i know we get along but we can't be seen communicating in public, some people I don't know said you do mean things, and that won't look good for me. Ok see you later." If anyone in any scenario said something similar you would cut them out of your life immediately because they probably aren't worth having around.

I take you're point and see where you're coming from Fergal has being in Japan & UK for a good portion of his career and maybe never heard of his rep and has taken him how he sees him I just don't like to see a good dude like him sully his reputation You're right people can change but JBL has proven time and time again he can't to me it's like if a wrestler retweets something Donald Trump said it just something you don't do and JBL is a Trump advocate too but I digress, Remember JBL is the same guy who goose stepped and did the Nazi salute in Germany at a house show in 2004

How does this possibly sully his reputation? Fergal clearly gets on with JBL and the two of them clearly have no issues - what's the problem with that? I have no doubt that if JBL bullied Fergal that he'd stand his ground and refused to be bettered.

There's lots of people in life who have made mistakes and acted poorly in the past but at the end of the day, you can't go around being a self righteous weirdo and deliberately ignore these people and alienate yourself from them. I have much more respect for Fergal's apparent approach of taking the guy as he comes.
Remember JBL is the same guy who goose stepped and did the Nazi salute in Germany at a house show in 2004

That was JBL playing his heel character rather than him doing the step and salute as a personal political statement!! Granted, he exercised poor judgement and went way too far in his efforts to get heat but I wouldn't hold this as a testament to his personal character.

I would. There is no point where you do something like that, and not be a ****bag.

  • Registered Users Posts: 838 ✭✭✭A Rogue Hobo

In terms of JBL goose-stepping? It was extremely poor judgement but basic heel wrestling 101. If we're going by that standard does that mean you think the same of Jericho for throwing down and kicking the Brazilian flag?

Edit: also in response of saying a wrestler can't re-tweet Donald Trump either... all that is is you judging someone that doesn't agree with you and allowing personal beliefs get in the way. Trust me, i am no Donald Trump fan by any degree, I personally think he's a pretty deplorable human being. But am I gonna judge someone for retweeting something their President tweets? Of course not, you can't approach life like that being so closeminded, disliking people due to having a personal opinion that differs to yours, especially in a professional working environment. Plus, I'd argue that engaging with people that don't share your opinions on such matters are a positive rather than a negative, you'll learn something, positive or negative if you have a conversation. Surround yourself with nothing but people who agree with everything you think about the world would be a fairly narcissistic approach to life.

Kicking a flag and doing Nazi salutes and goosestepping in Germany aren't even close to the same thing.

Are they not? You know JBL wasn't even the only heel to goosestep on that show that night? He just had the misfortune of being recorded doing it. If you're familiar with German wrestling it's something foreign heels did pretty regularly for a cheap dig at the fans. Not saying it's right to do, but to say that it was outrageous and uncommon would be untrue, German fans were pretty immune to it. It was the reaction of fans outside of Germany to it that caused a stir not the German fans themselves. Different cultures have different faux paux's.

To me and you, goose stepping in Germany would logically be worse or so we would think than someone kicking a flag for heat. But in Germany they turned a blind eye and paid no heed, happens regularly. In Brazil however, they wanted to jail Jericho and ban all future WWE events and Jericho needed a police escort out of the arena and to the airport.

Hmmm, the Demon is over, but sadly Finn himself isn't really.

Also this would be the first loss for the Demon, so not sure that would be good anyway unless Brock escaped with a flukey one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,832 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Finn is as bland as they get he makes Lance Storm look like the most flamboyant wrestler of all time.

I really like Finn but he needs to get rid of that generic 2k17 create a wrestler feeling about him.

    Heel turn needed.

It's crazy to think Vince listened to the crowd and decided Finn wasn't over enough. Has he ever seen a Roman match?

Doesn't make much sense. Sure if they want to protect Braun and Joe they might as well feed Finn to Brock. Someone not over but who can get a match out of Brock while not upsetting WM plans sounds exactly like what they need, laying the path clear for the Big Dawg.
