No homo but if I could hand pick a wrestling physique to have, Devitt's would be on my shortlist. Machine.

Apparently his favourite pint is Bulmer is it makes his torso even more of a marvel.

Spiderman/2099 Devitt according to his Twitter.

He's incredibly toned without being overly muscle freaky.

No update this week on the WWE stuff.

Don't know a lot about him really but if he was in WWE, would he be allowed to paint himself up like Spiderman/Venom/The Punisher etc.? Is it a big part of his character?

If he was doing it he could probably do it but just avoid using the symbols or logos like the Punisher skull there. Rey has been getting away with it for years.

It's not something that he has done for a long time. If I remember right he only started at Wrestlekingdom in January

WWE/Vince Mahon/Executive Producer Kevin Dunn dislike body paint as it messes up the ring and sweats off on Wrestlers.

Jeff Hardy did wear it but he was a big star and a special case in a "Jeff is Jeff" way.

It isn't a big part of his character. He only wore it on New Japan's version of Wrestlemania back in January as he lost something like 12 pounds from a stomach virus and also skin looked sickly. So he put on body paint to cover it up. It was the only time he wore it in Japan.

It got over huge on Social Media and he started doing it on UK shows. He hasn't done it on his Irish appearances - where his just a big old baddie children boo.

This is a fair old point. CM Punk's tatoos had to be edited out of video games and air brushed for images.

Jim Ross retweeted the above pic to his 1million followers saying:
Helluva gimmick. Leave it alone. Just my 2 cents.

He's more than a gimmick Jim.

A promo finally aired on New Japan TV last night of Devitt's final promo:

    From a Japanese fan blog
Prince Devitt has left NJPW. His last match in NJPW was against Ryosuke Taguchi. The World Pro-wrestling on TV asahi last nigh, his last words aired. There was no comment on NJPW official website and Weekly pro-wrestling magazine. He said "I feel like say goodbye to 10 thousand of my girlfriend same time. This is not end. This is the new beginning of Prince Deivtt."

Darth Maul tonight for ICW in Scotland:
    BmQXlCCIcAAbAPj.jpg

Appeared unadvertised for a three way match. Mark Coffey defeated Prince Devitt and Noam Dar in a triple-threat match to win the Zero-G Title. I guess this is the start of him dropping all the titles he has.

Cool pic of Devitt doing a double stomp:

Has he done Spawn before? That would be cool.

Good to hear he and Dar had a match as well.

Didn't realise Wrestling.ie put together a hype video for what I expect is Devitt's final pre-WWE match until now:

Do wrestling.ie only do shows up north or do they do both north and south?

They do them all over Ireland but only in big cities once or twice a year. They mainly do shows in smaller locations.

I know WWE wouldn't be able to directly copy Marvel stuff, but I'd love to see him keep the body paint (even acknowledging the previously mentioned problems of it rubbing off).

It would be such a different and stand out gimmick.

    (just ignore Goldust I guess....)

Lads there's a Devitt thread. He's going to WWE. He would leave New Japan for no other reason. Him losing the ICW title yesterday has no bearing on anything. I've no idea how people online have gotten the notion that it would. It is a Indy title for an upstart promotion that runs out of a nightclub. He could easily just vacate the title and go to WWE. It isn't like he would be sued or stopped at the border. Also the ICW title isn't even the only belt he current holds.

He is still the Revolution Pro Wrestling British Cruiserweight Championship and the Wrestling.Ie Champion. Not claiming to be an expert or have super inside knowledge but I close to the grape vine and pay more attention to randomers online who only discovered Devitt 4 months ago and who thought yesterday's show was his last date in the UK and Ireland. Despite being advertised to wrestle for Wrestling.ie Friday June 27th. If he has UK & Irish bookings that extend beyond that date then it is time to talk until then don't listen to jokers online. Ok maybe just this joker.

I fully believe he is going to WWE/NXT in July.

Im waiting for this to be added to tbe Rovert is right folder :P :pac:

I wonder if WWE are gonna go with "Devitt Prince" as his name :P
