After that first half display I wouldn't be upset at all if Mikel were hauled off and never seen in a Chelsea jersey again, woefully dismal. Ramires has offered little on the right, the ideas obviously been to use his pace to get on the end of a diagonal pass in behind Naughton but the passing has been poor and he's been caught offside the odd time a good ball has arrived. I said it last season that if we ever see Mikel and Lampard together in the pivot again it'll be too soon yet here we are, far too clumbersome and slow in there.

Great half by Spurs . Paulinho is a bit greedy , couple of times he could have passed but ended up shooting off target .

This Chelsea side have serious deficiencies. The weakest centre midfield of any of the top 5 and the obvious problems up top. People got carried away over the summer making a flawed squad title favourites and thinking Jose was a magician who could paper over the cracks. The names Mata, Hazard and Oscar flow off the tongue so easy that it makes Chelsea sound invincible, until you realise that Jose will only ever play 2 of them at once, and only one is in any sort of form.

The referee has dealt with the incident with that yellow. However, if that was for the trip as opposed to the scratch, he can get done for it. The referee needs to include the incident (the scratch) in his report.
