Hoping someone maybe able to help.

For past week when using microsoft word it can stall in the middle of typing, saving, opening files etc.

Not Responding appears on top. then after maybe 30 seconds up to a minute everything works fine but this keeps happening every couple of minutes. Its annoying as something that should take 5 minutes is taking over 30 mins because of all the stop/starts.

Everything else on laptop is working fine so its isolated to word. Wondering if anyone has had similar problems or has any advice for me?

    Thanks

Does turning off auto save help?

What size of document? Is there a lot of images in it?

if your a person who doesn't save often. Maybe turn it back on if its not causing the problem.

Have you all the latest Word/office updates installed

You should just be able to repair your installation of Word/Office.

    Windows 7:

Go to Start > Uninstall Programs. Select Microsoft Office and select the options to repair your Installation. this will not affect your documents.
