Laptop Backlight Not Working

    Sorry if this is the wrong forum for posting this.

    Recently the screen backlight went on my Asus N56VZ, it's only 4/5 months old. I think it's the backlight as I can see the login screen when I shine a torch on it. Does anybody know if this would be covered under warranty, if so how long would it take to be fixed by them. Alternatively if it wasn't covered under warranty/took weeks to months for Asus to repair, how much would it cost to get it repaired by somebody in Ireland?
