Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

my neice has bent the pins on her 4th gen ipod touch and after a ot of looking online i can't find it any cheaper, but tbh from what i've seen it looks like a bitch of a job to do, so based on that it seems like an okay price.

anyone know of anywhere in dublin (pref. close to Blanchardstown) that would do it for similar money to save on postage?

    thanks.

Where are you located? You could try tech zone. Ie they located in ballymount they don't charge much more for the fitting of the parts they sell

3.99 excluding vat from syncron. They are based in rosemount business park, Blanchardstown. They also have a repair service.

thanks, syncron are local to me so i might give them a shot.

i found the parts on ebay cheap enough, but you'd want a real steady hand to do the soldering that is required to replace the dock connector on them as each pin on the connector is soldered directly to the board and the old dock and other parts need to be de-soldered first, so it's just not something i'd be willing to attempt myself.

+1 for syncron. My experience (iPhone repairs) with them was great.

yeah, they've said they will do it for €70 which is grand tbh, the other crowd were £45 which is €56, but when you inc. postage to and from the UK, that would push it over €70 anyway, so it's a good deal imho.

there's also the issue of how long it would take. a week plus to the UK and back, opposed to 1-2 days in with synchron if i drop it off and collect it, which i will as it's only 5 minutes up the road from my work, so all good. :)
