Spotted an Aero L-39C Albatros over the English channel. Expensive boys toy? Or a remake of Top Gun?

Cmd-Shift and 3 are your friends for a full screengrab

Cmd-Shift and 4 will do the trick for a cropped screengrab

According to this blog it's an A320, leased to Nouvelair. Bonkers flight pattern (or funny radar) though.

    Any suggestions?

I'm guessing some sort of training or observation flight?

US Airways US722 PHL to DUB diverted to SNN http://www.flightradar24.com/AWE722/3078580

I'm assuming due to fog in DUB.

This seems like rather a lot of traffic all heading to the States, no? You can clearly see the route they're all in and they're all really clapping along, separated by not very much at all. Quite the air-jam over the Celtic Sea too. Busy day being an ATC.

It's a normal day, slight variation in position of tracks due jet stream but a normal day. What you are missing is the aircraft not showing up due lack of mode S transponder etc.

Hi, am tracking my parents flight from MCO to DUB that just departed a while ago and it seems to be flying south rather than north. I usually see this flight fly up the coast of the US and head out from NY direction to Ireland. Is this a normal flight path deviation and why would they change the direction?

The Atlantic tracks change constantly to factor in wind where possible, sometimes they go as North as Greenland and sometimes very southerly. :)

Thanks Jack1985! Just looking again and they seem to be turning more northward now. Just that other times I tracked them it was up the coast so this looked weird to me. Cheers....can sleep now so that I can go collect them in the morning!

I was listening to LiveATC yesterday morning. The pilot requested priority due to minimum fuel. There were delays at EIDW due to fog and ATC couldn't accomodate the priority so the pilot decided to divert to EINN.

You can listen to the ATC recordings on LiveATC.net by using the search function.

For those of you who use FlightRadar Pro's radar view, you can use the attached file to add the various waypoints around Dublin. Just rename the file so that it ends in .wpt and upload it.

It's a bit noisy, since there are a lot of points that don't get used very much but you can just delete the relevant lines from the file and re-upload it.

Brilliant cheers for that, any idea if there's one available for Cork?

I made that one above with data from the SIDs & STARs published on the IAA website and a small Perl script. If there's one for Cork I don't know about it.
