Few flights holding above DUB, something wrong or just heavy traffic?

I've heard both takeoffs and landings but all very crowded.

Excuse my naivity, but are heavies the only ones to get priority like this? And will they now be swapping back from 28, or is it not as precise as I'm imagining? I really am a novice sorry!

The pilot (EI125) said that conditions not suitable for him on 16, so 28 was the option. Seems all others using 28 now rather than switching back.

Do airlines still use Shannon for training.

There is a QR3250 Airbus A320 flying around Shannon at present from Bucharest. It pulled up at about 2000 ft and is now flying between Lough Derg and the Shannon Estuary.

Wondering is it on a training run or trying to land and park up for a paint job

    Any idea what he's doing?

From What I'm hearing on ATC SNN got hit with a very heavy shower as QTR was approaching so he aborted the approach, the rain has eased off a little so he's coming around again

Two go-arounds at Dublin in the last few minutes onto RWY-16, they are now in the process of RWY-28 becoming active.

Seemed to be heading for Rwy 16 then ATC switched them over to Rwy 28. Go around on that approach due to wind shear.

    EIN64W also heading west

    What is N262LM up to?

N262LM seems to be out of Budapest, so after a long flight he was in the KERAV hold (North East), then due to weather, he left the hold himself and headed West,, he's not familiar with Dublin (American crew), Dublin asked him to route to the Rwy-10/16 ULTAG hold and he was unable to comply, either he didnt know where it was, or he couldn't find it, so he asked for a divert to Belfast and Dublin indicated if he could hold at Dundalk, they would get him back in shortly, so here he is routing back to Dublin for Rwy-28.

We're used to seeing planes divert for SNN when failing landing in DUB, but I highly suspect it'll be the otherway around tonight. FR24 is reporting over 30kt winds. Met Eireann is putting Counties Clare and Kerry on a yellow alert for high winds of 100 to 120km/h Galway, Mayyo, Sligo Donegal and Leitrim are on Red Alert but NOC is already closed for the night anyway.

Anyone ever see this before? It has now disappeared off screen :-/

Usually a military plane of some sort or representative of a country

Most likely just a business jet with their information not being published.

Doesn't seem to have been any problems at SNN, even for Aer Arann. wind only 25kt there at the moment

AN-124 crossing the country at the moment, NW of Dundalk.

Was lucky enough to see the 225 take-off from STN a good few years ago and the baby 124 from Dublin, the ground actually trembled

Pretty sure it's daily. Watch for the departure of the return leg and I bet my bottom dollar it'll climb straight to FL410- seems to be the case with any of them I've watched!
