is today the first official flight for the EI 757 range or has there been flights already?

how many of them do they have?

They started operating the Dub-Toronto flight on the 14/04. As far as I know they are leasing three 757s from Air Contractors.

Haha, heard an announcement once where the FO started off his cruise message went into detail about cruise level, the distance to the destination, the flying time left and estimated arrival on stand as well as the weather.

To which ATC replied, ''Thank you'' and another pilot, ''Thanks lovely'' and the best part from another pilot - ''Cheers was just about to get ATIS for Norwich'' :D

Can't seem to find it on youtube, I'll have a look. :)

Have heard a few Aer Arann announcements on frequency over the years. Also once heard a flight ex Kerry call Shannon and say, Sorry for the late check-in but our cockpit door fell off after we took off!!

Any time I listen to SNN liveatc in the early hours they seem to have a few cargos in from DUB - just not visible on fr24

Yep unfortunately we have crap T-MLAT coverage in the South West, would be great if it was improved. That Gulfstream by the way is off to Tel Aviv with a slot time of 0123Z (0223L).

Seems to be continuing course to LGW at present.

P.S. The callsign is easiest for people to identity, in this case it'd be VIR44B

According to FR24, actual time of departure for this flight was at 22:19 local time, with the time now at 1:43am....I wonder has it really been up there doing laps for over 3 hours???

Malfunction on the front tire. Now circling over Selat Melaka to empty fuel before attempting an emergency landing at KLIA.

It's a B738 which has no fuel dump capability so I'd imagine they're trying to burn off as much fuel as they can.

Understand that, just wondering if my calc was right. Over 3 hours seems a long time to be burning fuel.

According the @MAS The #MH192 right-hand landing gear malfunctioned upon takeoff and is expected to make an emergency landing at KUL

    Hope they get down ok.

Two fold advantage, reduces weight which reduces approach speeds and lessens the fuel onboard should things not work out.
