    Blocked Aircraft
They are not blocked on purpose, they just don't have the required equipment to be seen by FR24.

The majority of them do have the equipment, aircraft owners/operators can request their aircraft to be blocked from public tracking systems/software.

The example above had the equipment. :)

but as we always see alot of gulfstreams and other private jets on FR24, do any of ye know how much golfstream 4s or similar capacity jets (15-20 seats) would be to hire privately?
About $5-6000 per hour plus the costs charged by the airport, you would also end up paying for the positioning to/from Dublin.

I'm heading to Spain on Sunday (not from ireland), picking up 10 people, cost if they were paying would be about $100,000 or $10,000 each :)

Just looking at the app a few mins ago and thought this a bit strange.
Why would they take this route and not just head West after takeoff?

Looks like a non ETOPS routing to me...

Perhaps a broken HF radio either? It looks like a blue spruce route from Flightaware and I think HF isn't required for some of them.

    What?

Its a name given to a route close to Iceland and Greenland that doesn't require long range navigation or equipment.

Really though? Glitches usually make some kind of sense in a glitch kind of way. This strikes me as more realistic yet still off the wall - instead of going to DUB from Milan it heads out to the Atlantic then back in again. Odd fr24 error of the ones I've seen - they're usually far more obvious.

Ah yeah, it happens from time to time. :p

Anyone see anything interesting today on the site? :)

Nah, you keep the thread going! :D

I hate putting filters on, always forget about them. Was looking there wondering why there was only one aircraft over Ireland.

To be fair though, the only one that counts.

BA sent a A320 to Shannon and a A380 G-XLEE to Chateauroux this morning. All for crew 'touch and go' training.

Any idea how long they'll be at SNN?

Not sure. It did a Stuttgart this morning. Saturday evening is always quiet with the shorthaul fleet. Ideal time for crew training. More than likely will come back tonight. Not at work now so cannot check.
