G650 over NI is owned by Clay Lacy Aviation, one of the earlier bizjet charter companies; formed in 1968!

Can't link directly to it on FR as obscured:

Anyone know if the F16's over Croke Park yesterday were squaking and could be seen on FR24?

What height and speed do you think they passed? I'm guessing about 700ft over the city

Unfortunately weren't active on Mode-S ( as far as my logs say ) .

Not overly surprising as several RAF Typhoons and Tucanos are still 'silent' on Mode-S and only receive the kit at scheduled overhauls. Mil also have the ability to shut-off Mode-S during ops or on operational-type training.

Definitely weren't on FR24; they studiously avoid showing all US mil traffic and in this instance there was no basis for an MLAT anyhow.

That is an odd route to JFK, seems very southward.

The EI105 took a pretty southerly route this morning too

Just looked at FR24. EI105 approaching Boston. However the rest of the flock of Westbound flights further out look to be even more southerly.

Just thought I heard another c-130 passing over Westport. Nothing on FR.

Indeed, the Boston is not far behind the New York, and he's gone pretty much the same southerly track, so without going digging around for the high level wind charts, I'm going to hazard a fairly safe guess that the northerly tracks are into the teeth of a high level strong jet stream, so going south is making for a faster and probably less turbulent ride.

    pretty good clues here https://flightplanning.navcanada.ca/Latest/anglais/Latest11-ouest-e.html.

The jetstream is running at 115 plus Kts, and there's some moderate to severe clear air turbulence in a band across the normal tracks below FL360, so the southerly tracks may be longer distance wise, but the groundspeed will be significantly better, and less hassle in terms of the ride quality.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

    Hi Folks,

Can anyone confirm that there have been three c-130's passing over Mayo in the last hour or so, or am I losing the plot? Couldnt be the Casa. It sounds wrong.
